If you downloaded the same version I have here, which I do suspect, you should have this file.

When you open the .7z file, it already shows the files and folders you need.
Just extract the whole .7z file to:C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\**you-user-name**\race 07\
When done with that, the gamedata and UIData folders should be present. If not, you made a mistake with the extraction.

I've been trying to find a way to change the flag next to the cars in the menu and results screens but can't find any information on how to do this.

could anyone help point me in the right direction please.

Cheers
Dave

Hi, sorry if this is answered elsewhere already, but I have searched and found nothing...

Can anyone tell me where I can find the templates for the .ini files for the STCC2 cars, specifically the Cruze? I did have a file with all the templates in (although I think it was pre-STCC2 so it wouldn't have it I don't think), but I can't locate it.

All I need is the line for the car type, as the rest of it is the same to my knowledge.

Thanks,

Nik

I am having no luck saving a psd file to a dds file. Running windows 7 64 bit. Photoshop is running under x86 I installed the nvidia x86 version in the photoshop plug-in directory
c/programfiles(x86)/adobe/photoshop/plug-in
what happens in saving the dds plugin pops up and I set mitmaps to 6 dtx1 ect hit the save button and I get a error pop up that there is a error in the program file.
I have tried a 64 bit version of the nvidia dds plug in and it looks like it works but when you look at the saved dds file there is no kb of data in the file. So could someone post up where the nvidia plug-in is placed? It would be reasonable for it all to be under X86 but this windows 7 64bit has been kicking my butt

I've had the same problem a few times, to get round it i just save the PSD, close Photoshop. restart Photoshop and try again, it normally works the second time. Only happens once in a while.

Sorry for yet another post but again I've searched the forums (and half the internet) and can't find any solutions...

I can't seem to change the opacity of the windows on the Cruze - At 100% the windows and lights are entirely black, and then anything below that they are grey, but still completely solid.

On other skins as a comparison all you have to do is reduce the opacity slider and the grey chequered pattern of the base layer becomes visible, but instead even if I hide/make every layer 100% transparent the whole of the image is grey...

I'm using GIMP, I know what I'm doing at a basic level so it may just be something obvious that I've missed but I cannot for the life of me work it out!

Also, there appears to be a problem with the Cruze in the car selection screen - I have a rubbish laptop and in game the quality of the skins on the cars are always awful, but in the selection screen they look pretty much as good as they do in-game on a high end machine. But for some reason the Cruze looks awful, as I would expect it to in-game.

It's not just custom skins, because the standard Cruze is dreadful too. And it's not an issue with STCC 2, because all the other cars look fine. It's really baffling. Not a huge issue, because obviously it's only in the car selection screen, but in terms of making a skin it's annoying as I can't see what it looks like at a decent quality...

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: If I put the opacity of the base layer "layer 1" to 0%, then the grey chequered pattern appears, but when I open the file in PAINT.net to flatten the image, the windows have become solid and white, which is how they appear in the game...
