Sorry for yet another post but again I've searched the forums (and half the internet) and can't find any solutions...
I can't seem to change the opacity of the windows on the Cruze - At 100% the windows and lights are entirely black, and then anything below that they are grey, but still completely solid.
On other skins as a comparison all you have to do is reduce the opacity slider and the grey chequered pattern of the base layer becomes visible, but instead even if I hide/make every layer 100% transparent the whole of the image is grey...
I'm using GIMP, I know what I'm doing at a basic level so it may just be something obvious that I've missed but I cannot for the life of me work it out!
Also, there appears to be a problem with the Cruze in the car selection screen - I have a rubbish laptop and in game the quality of the skins on the cars are always awful, but in the selection screen they look pretty much as good as they do in-game on a high end machine. But for some reason the Cruze looks awful, as I would expect it to in-game.
It's not just custom skins, because the standard Cruze is dreadful too. And it's not an issue with STCC 2, because all the other cars look fine. It's really baffling. Not a huge issue, because obviously it's only in the car selection screen, but in terms of making a skin it's annoying as I can't see what it looks like at a decent quality...
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: If I put the opacity of the base layer "layer 1" to 0%, then the grey chequered pattern appears, but when I open the file in PAINT.net to flatten the image, the windows have become solid and white, which is how they appear in the game...
