Doesn't really seem like it's working on 70 difficulty (No racing line, no traction control)? so I tried on 65, but they're still pulling away on the straights. I run the medium version, and it seems like everyone else suddenly gained a full second of pace around me.

Absolutely loved this before EAs update, though, excellent work. You made the game enjoyable again.

Try current slowest version(Update 4), and if it still not works, then i'll make slower version until we find the right value.

I've always used the medium version and it was working fine. Now the others cars fly, specially in qualy, i got 22nd place with the best car on grid and my teammate was first. I'll try the slowest version and will post the results

idk what the hell codemasters have done, but before the patch i was running 106 ai and the medium version. was perfect, but now i'm using the slow version, 98 ai and i'm 2 seconds down to complete a practice program and in the race Latifi takes 0.7s out of me in 1 sector.

Yea doesn't seem to work.
I play on difficulty 65-75 depending of the race (thanks to Codemasters' AI)
and they still rocket launch on straight line, I always used medium version.

They changed the car handling, which is quite noticeable with increased understeer. That could explain a better AI, which is maybe just you going slower because of their adaptations to get closer to real life F1.

I use the "slowest version" in my MyTeam career mode. In Season 2 (Pre-patch) I won the championship with arguably the worst car on the field on 92 AI, and now (Post-patch) I still use the "slowest version" on the same difficulty into halfway of Season 3. The car is just behind Alpine (5th best car), and I'm like 2 seconds slower than my teammate each lap. But then I tried it in Grand Prix mode, and got the fastest lap in the race. It seems like the AI in MyTeam are getting unreachable with maxed out cars

I tested the mod in Grand Prix mode after patch 1.06 and picked up the numbers for that, I made the AI in all versions faster than in previous versions and posted the mod. But suddenly it turned out to be the opposite in the career mode, so now I have to slow down the AI.

Bruh this goes beyond my knowledge
Any ideas what we can tweak? I can help with testing

Could be these files, perhaps?
F1 22\2022_asset_groups\f1_2022_vehicle_package\ai\
That is someone no person on earth is willing to change I think. Too many haha

I play on 60 and I've only done the practice programs but I'm around 0.5s faster on mediums against Leclerc on softs. I'll post another update after qualies and the race.

StrongestFish updated F1 22 Fixed AI acceleration on straights with a new update entry:

Update 5

The slowest version maked slower, slowest in update 4 renamed to Medium 1, previous Medium renamed to Medium 2.
Results of my tests(on 65 difficulty):
- Slowest - AI are 0,8 sec slower;
- Medium 1 - 0,5
- Medium 2 - 0,3
- Alternative - 0,15.

If you feel the mod isn't working, let me know what version you're using, what the difficulty is, and assists in the reviews or in the feedback thread here...

Read the rest of this update entry...

”Rewind” means to go backwards, I think you mean to say it doesn't work when you fast-forward (accelerate) time.
When you "ff" in garage, it doesn't work.

But will the mod be ignored if you straight up skip time? For example if you are getting car fixed in garage, fast forward will skip the mod, but will also the "skip repair" skip the mod?

I'm guessing the answer is yes but just to confirm this.

Sorry English isn't my first language.. :)
