Funny gif.
How it started and how it ended (at least for now)

If you had asked me a year ago, this would have been an instant buy, but I'm no longer sure. I hardly use my headset for anything other than driving/flying these days
Same here, the original PSVR is what got me into VR in the first place - back at the start of 2018. But I agree, these days VR is basically for DCS, VTOL VR and AeroFly FS 2/4 (I prefer that over XPlane and MSFS as it's really lightweight and efficient), I don't even really use it for driving as I prefer a screen for that for some reason.

The truth is I was never really interested in VR for anything other than driving or flight/space sims.

Anyway as it stands the PSVR is pretty meaningless to me as I still can't get hold of a PS5, at least through normal channels.

Niels and Pimax 8kX now with POVVR.SE strap and nose pad: "no VR, no buy"
The thing I like about Niels is that he has the awareness to use the words 'for me' after saying something about VR that others seem to regard as an objective fact when recounting their own experience.

Replacing the strap looks like a win-win. I'm just figuring out what to save for next and this has piqued my interest!

Both Pimax and Varjo benefit from OpenXR (also open composite and FSR) improvements for high resolution, high frame rate performance,
which help HP Reverb G2 less (my interpretation).

Any details about the headset?
Here is the Spotify episode with Zuckerberg:

From other sources:
Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 CPU “still has a long way to go
to match even 2016’s PC hardware, never mind 2020’s.”
with 2 cooling fans for higher clock speed than in Quest 2,
2.48-inch, 2160 x 2160-pixel mini-LED screens
(1800x1920 rendered per eye)
with better edge-to-edge clarity, but some screen door effect,

Yes it seems that at least this year and I’m sure next year we won’t see any new VR headset ! We don’t even have any news from Valve or HP…..
