April 28,2009 - Spec Racer Ford Now Available for FREE!
The granddaddy of one-design class road-racing, the Sports Car Club of America’s Spec Racer Ford first turned a wheel in 1984 and now it will become the Advanced Rookie road-racing car at iRacing. The Spec Racer Ford is now available as a FREE update to all iRacing members.

An open-cockpit, closed-wheel sports/racer, the Spec Racer Ford’s light weight gives it good performance with a 105-horsepower four-cylinder engine, and it’s mid-engine design gives it nimble handling characteristics. A limited range of suspension adjustment means that it’s good for drivers just beginning to explore chassis tuning. Expect lots of close, fun racing with this classic-design racing car.
It makes a change to get something for free!!

April 28,2009 - Road Atlanta Now Available for Preorder
Road Atlanta is one of North America’s most challenging and exhilarating road-racing circuits and it is now available for pre-order to iRacing members. The price is $20.00.

Home for 23 years to the Sports Car Club of America’s national club-racing Runoffs, Road Atlanta is today home to the American Le Mans Series premier event, the 1000-mile Petit Le Mans. This 12-turn, 2.54-mile ribbon of asphalt has it all – fast, banked sweepers, an acute first-gear corner, blind apexes, long straightaways and lots of elevation changes. Anyone who gets bored racing at Road Atlanta just isn’t paying attention.

April 28,2009 - Class B Impala Now Available
TheChevrolet Impala SS stock car, as raced in NASCAR’s Nationwide Series, is now available in the iRacing garage, completing the trio of Chevrolet’s race vehicles in NASCAR’s top three divisions. Purchase price is $15.00.

This iRacing Class B version of the Impala SS is a technical duplicate of the pre- Car of Tomorrow Sprint Cup car, so iRacers who already own the Impala SS Class A (current Sprint Cup) car can compare and contrast these two top-tier Chevrolet stock cars.

No its not great fun, its sucks enormously James :) I am back to iRacing the minute they drop that ideology of having to buy a bunch of crap cars and tracks that i am not interested in, but only need to get them to reach a higher level..

Once they get IndyCars or ALMS and i can directly buy that content i am in, otherwise you wont see me there for another second

More tonight methinks chaps; that's such a great combo - Lowe's infield in the Solstice :D

Shame I started to get back into it at the start of this week as opposed to the end of last week; no way to fulfill my MPR to get to Class C now; one more time trial would've done it; never mind. :/

James, had a gander as to whether that deal works out alright for you? If you get into it I think Simon and I will follow suit and get back into it ourselves.
