Side by side track comparison Video

This link was posted at the iRacing forums. It show just how realistic the tracks are. Add the bumps in the right places and its the closest ill ever get to the real thing.
This is Virginia International Raceway Full layout in the Skip Barber.

I've noticed that my driving capabilities in Race07 drops at the same rate as my abilities progress in iRacing... funny thing...

Im reassured to hear its not just me getting that effect, going to play an ISI based sim after iR just doesnt work,i find i need long sessions of practice, but still feel i am gradually slowing down in R07,the Seat is now like a form of punishment for me to drive.
Im going to sign up for a further 3 months and get a Skippy and probably the Barber Motorsport Park circuit, unless some of you guys have a better recommendation for a first track purchase?.

Do get the Skippy, but reconsider the track choice. I'd get the tracks needed for the Skip Barber series before getting anything else.

Having said that, the Barber Motorsport Park is a great track - I bought it alongside all the other available road coarses a week ago

Kind regards,
Karl

I'm going to buy Silverstone just because I race there for real, it'll be nice to 'train' there to see if it actually improves my times.

I won't try it. I don't like paying monthly for a game, I'd rather buy a new one every 2 months or so instead. Also I love Race07, rFactor and now GTR Evo so I don't need another racing game :).

Have to say it sticks in my throat a bit to pay a monthly subscription and then have to pay for new content as well. I would be interested if there was a try before you buy option. Does anyone know if there is a demo you can try?

No free demo at all,the only way to get a taste is a $20 month deal, for what i get back from iRacing in terms of the quality of sim experience it gives, ive never yet felt short changed, works out way way cheaper than some other hobbies i have.

I hope this isn't a big no no around here, but I do have iracing and I prepaid a years subscription to take advantage of discounts. I like iracing, although the selection in cars, series, and tracks is a little sparse at the moment.

I'm a huge SimBin fan starting with GTL a few years ago. I can't seem to shake my desire for the variety and user community as a whole surrounding GTL, GTR, GTRE, LFS, etc.

I think I'm a sim-racing addict :D

I don't like the idea of a monthly cost involved with this game. To pay monthly for full content I would be willing to trial it. However to pay a monthly fee and then have to pay extra to buy content such as cars and tracks, I think is a bit too much for me to fund.
