David Pym

Hi, my name is David and I'm addicted to online racing!

Formalities over with - lets get onto some history...

I am a 38 year old graphic designer, living in Southampton, but born and raised in Nottinghamshire (Robin Hood country). Some would say that I have finally found some culture by moving to here, but I say I've doubled the amount of culture that is in this town! (And if you ever visit Southampton, you'll understand why!)

Up until recently I have only ever owned Apple computers (for work) but after trying a friends PC, with rFactor and Live for Speed, I was hooked and took the plunge and haven't looked back since (nasty accident at Imola first online race - don't ask!)

Prior to this I was a consoleboy®, first with Super Monaco on the SNES via GT4 on the PS2 (still awesome car pool after all these years) to finally giving in and buying the antichrist of machines. The XBOX360. Spurred on by the belief that GTR was going to be released on this platform, and under the misguided impression that the physics in Forza2 were the most realistic I had experienced - I raced online for quite a while, usually against would be crash test dummies and idiots with textspeak names. After I saw the light, I was released from the asylum, - hallelujah brothers and sisters!!!

Actually, that last bit isn't entirely true. I was part of a group of friends at college during the early 90's, racing an offline league in Sir Geoff of Crammond's wonderful Grand Prix - where we were collectively known as 'The Three Amigas'. I blame this early start for my ever expanding waistline as, every Friday we would have chips and dips and copious beer. Hence my signature!

I am also part of Legends League racing F3 and F1 79 cars. Although not the fastest in the championships, I would like to think I am a courteous, competitive and consistent driver (presently 6th and 7th place), with absolutely no Alien DNA in my system, although I do still wonder why the back of my neck sets off metal detectors!!!

Anyhoo - I've waffled on too long - the audience is getting restless and are getting the rotten fruit ready.... To finish off I would like to say I'm already looking forward to some good close racing and I'm glad to now be part of Race Department.

Peace out. Pace on.

Hello

Hi,

Looking forward to some on-line racing here; not new to on-line racing (race regulaarly in the Nkpro championship over at GPC) but new to RACE07. Come from Oxfordshire, about 4 miles down the road from the F1 Williams complex; used to hear them testing their cars during close season on Abingdons old RAF base runway - awseome sound :)

See Andy Macmartin is part of WTCC - give a wave Andy - had a rare old battle with him during a Nkpro race a season ago - tough, but clean race

Cheers all

Simon.

N.B - Warren - age is a good thing; like fine wine it just gets better;

Hello

Hello: My name is John P. Morris and I live in Battle Creek, Michigan, United States.
I have owned Race 07 for about 3-4 weeks and I am completely hooked. I raced slot-cars for over 40 years but I do not believe there is much carry over. Guess I will find out. So, I will be "cannon-fodder" for quite a while.
I taught computer programming at the university level for almost 17 years when a heart attack forced me to retire from work and slot- cars in 2003. So I am now on medical disability retirement for the rest of my life.
Enough of my life history.

My job : IT Manager.
About 6 months ago i catches the sim racing virus.

After 6 months offline racing it is time to try the real work so I joined the club.
Hope I can learn much from this club.

Hello to everyone.

My name is Tony González, and I am from the marvellous Canary islands :)
I live in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, a wonderful town with the best weather in the world (Syracusa University dixit).

I am a lawyer, 45 y.o. and I have a a lovely daughter 7 y.o. :)

In sim racing, I've been playing since 2002, with the F-1 Challenge, and participate in some leagues with friends.
I got sometime after the rFactor, and playing it for some years since now, driving many types of car, from Minis and Clios to F-1.

Out of racing I have a team since 5 years ago at hattrick (www.hattrick.org), the biggest online game of football manager, with nearly 1.000.000 users.
I have been there National Coach of El Salvador and Game Master for Spain.

I also was one of the pioneers of the 24th unterseebootsflotille with the Silent Hunter 2. Staff member, international moderator at Wolf Pack league, translator of the instruction manual of the SH2 and SH3 from English to Spanish, as well as pioneer of Simulación Naval. com

I was at Valencia WTCC GP, in May 2008, watching the RaceRoom in order to start a franchise at my home town... A good dream :)

Thats all for now. Not much, but not little ;)

Hey there guys

Was brought to the attention of this little group by racing in one of teh race dept public serves recently

We were racing Caterhams at Brno and I ahd a belter of a race with a guy, we had some great fun as i was in a 260 and he was in a 320, pass and re-pss all laps!!

So, came along for a bit of fun

Not interested in leagues as I dont have time nor the inclination to race against aliens!! some of the quick guys really are quite insane!!

But public serves are boring WTCC all the time

I would love to race a few more BMW, Caterham, Radical, Mini races, as they are more fun cars to drive and less serious people in them.

Aloha All!

My name is Joe Calhoun and I live in Hawaii. I have been racing for about 7 years now. I was a grandprix legends fanatic racing online for a long time and then Nascar and F1-2000 and then I took a break and then I discover GTR, Rfactor and so on. I am now hooked and once I can retire from my job as a Gen Contractor I may be able to join a league and put in some serious racing with you folks. I put away my Thomas steering wheel and bought a Logi. G25 and love it. Hope to be racing more soon.

  • SMillar13

Hey, I am SMillar, 15 years old I play race 07 and think its cool. Not much else to say...Just hope to meet new people and stuff like that. Peace out!

Yo guys o/

My name is Danny Engels and I am from Germany. I am living in Trier and I am supersweet young 18. :D I am playing computer games for already more than 10 years and I found my passion in Sim Racing just 3 years ago. Started racing with Live for Speed S2. Becoming one of the best racers there and being the Winner of the first Intel Racing Tour (Prize: BMW M6). I also finished the German Championship in LFS (Electronic Pro Series) in 2nd place, right behind my Teammate Nils Naujoks in 2007. Together with him, i am driving for SK Gaming. It is one of the best Multigaming Teams in the World. So, normally I am racing in Live for Speed - but due to the V-WTCC I started playing Race07 last month, too. I also got some racing experience in rFactor and GTR. =)

Some impressions of the Intel Racing Tour Final: YouTube - Intel Racing Tour Finale 2007 ;)

  • N I K I

Hi guys,

I'm sorry for that ugly post about Rami's setup, I'm mostly nice guy, hehe

Like most of you in here, I'm big fan of motosport racing. Even do I live in poor Bosnia and Herzegovina (but I'm Croatian nationality, not Muslim!) I had computer back in 90's and of course always been playing racing games ^^
Well, no shame to say names like CMR, NFS, GTA etc., somehow then appeared RBR and GTR2. I've enjoyed both of them for long time playing off-line. And then came long area of LFS, 3 years ago, and I've started to have problems... online gaming and dial-up doesn't go together :D
Finally 2 years ago when I've got ADSL, it's only 4GB space per month, but better that then dial up :)

I raced for CRO Team Racing, My3id Gaming and #low-racing, now I'm single atm.
I achieved 6 wins and 10 pole positions in 2 seasons of Balkanian leagues. Total finish was 2nd and 4th, but mostly because I had disconnects on like 30% of races, witch coasted me few more wins too :/
That's really bugging me with this internet... disconnects, but looks like I don't get them so easy in RACE07 as in LFS.
On international overview, I finished 24hours race with My3id Gaming on 7th position in Masters of Endurance (MoE) race. I had 2 wins last year in International GT Championship (IGTC) with them too.
I raced in Sport-Racing.com (eTM) with one of fastest cars in LFS, and defenetly best guys in LFS, you can compare it with this RD WTCC, but that league is dead now :( I've got 4th spot as my best result.
I'm still enjoying public racing in LFS and LFSCAR: Storm Cup (half oval, half road racing, lol)
I enjoy RWD cars a lot, but I can drive FWD ones with pleasure too. Same thing for single seaters, like for FWD cars.
And take a look how many kilometers I've cracked in that time, here. Really great feature about LFS.

Then somehow I got interested in V-WTCC, won myself RACE07 license there and sow you pro guys here. Looks like racing in here is really good, therefor I wanna give it a shot ;)

See ya on track.
