Is physics of this mod affected by stock physics (eg. due to tyres or others parameters)? I feel some differences between playing before and after 1.48.

I notice a strange (at least for me!) behaviour of the car in oval: eg. starinting in 4-5th position and using standard setup, I have no problem with grip when I follow at least one car, but if I gain 1st position, I immediately lost the grip in curves. This is strange to me because with the same setup, I have no problem in qualify, regardless following AI or not. Is it the normal behaviour if Indy cars in oval (eg. in F1/proptoype generally is the opposite, lost grip when following, normal grip if sole)? thanks
Tyres in AMS2 are done by a pointer in the vehicle files and are global, so the tyres automatically update with the game...

I'd suggest higher springs, dampers and tyre pressures with the new update... And moving the brake bias to 50-55 as you don't want to lock up... Especially on the softs...

We are working on an update that will bring helmets in and a few other cool features... We'll also be adjusting the base set up to compensate for the new tyres...

After the last update, I downloaded and installed the new bootfile, when loading the mod to go to the track, it hangs in the middle of the loading bar and exits to Windows. I've done everything and nothing works. In the previous version it was working normally

Apologies for the late reply... I've been ill for a couple of weeks and the other members of the team have been busy with real life as well...

It sounds like the driveline entries haven't been entered into the driveline.rg file as when it crashes on the loading screen that's what it'll be 99% of the time...

It works fine in the Content Manager if you are finding updating the JSGME way annoying...

Great Mod, whenever I Load in to a session or race I cannot see the hands or helmet of the driver even though i have it ON in the settings any fixes or known ways to get it to work?

Sounds like you have an old version of the mod from before Reiza updated the drivers... They work in this build for me...

I’m new To PC gaming AMS two mods and race department so forgive me if this is the wrong spot to ask questions. In regards to the Indy 2023 skins and tracks aesthetically beautiful beautiful work how do I ascertain as to when I need to check for updates to the mod that I’ve already installed?

for example if I want to download the ghost halo post , want updates to kits or AI or etc. I’m having a hard time kind of navigating within the mod creators update page.

Lastly I’m sure this has nothing to do with the mod but out of all the open wheel cars on the game the brakes I cannot figure out on these indie cars for 2023 and the engine sounds again this is probably not a mod question but if anyone can point me in the right direction. most of the other Open wheel cars in AMS two sound fantastic, but the 2023 Indy cars sound like a garbage disposal

The easiest way is to always download from the main RD page of the mod or the download button at the top of this page... As that will be the latest version... This has all the aero kits...

The ghost halo is a separate optional download...

I have tried downloading the latest version of mod 2.0 and it still doesn't work for me

The only other thing I can think of is a dodgy download of the mod has happened...

I've had this a couple of times from the RD link when I've had to test the released version... Sometimes it's missing previews, other times skins... So it could be possible that it's missing a driver file due to a bad download...

Do you have a livery override xml activated at all?

This is amazing--the closest I've come to my dream of an actual IndyCar game. Thanks to everyone who's worked on this. Are there any skins of older seasons that are out there/being worked on? I'd love to be able to race the whole aeroscreen era. Happy to pay for it too if it's not!

I've got no idea what that is so probs not, all I have is just the main files for the Indy car mod in the MODS folder and all the other stuff like the vehicles and driveline code changes, like the mod works fine but there's no drivers in the cars for just the INDY CARS like every other car is fine

I hope it has improved and thanks for the feedback, I will try to download the manager then.

I installed with the Content Manager, the game closes when it reaches this part of the load

And this is after a new download?

It usually crashes on the loading screen when there's a physics issue...

I'd try uninstalling the mod by moving it to the "Disabled" folder and running CM again... Then try installing it again... Sometimes it takes a little bit to finish the process with this mod due to the amount of entries it has to make for it...

I'm guessing that the process was halted before it was finished or the file you have downloaded has been corrupted as it's a rare issue that we can't point to anything on our end... Usually CM works like a charm...

Any one by chance interested in doing cart skins for this mod i could help out with logos and such

I've got an Indy legends pack planned that spans multiple decades... You might have a few gems that could help the process that I'd be glad to have a look through...

I'll try to download it again, but this mod had worked before the AMS2 update, installing it through JSGME. After the AMS2 update it didn't work anymore

It seems to work for the vast majority of people, me included, and has been tested with both JSGME and AMS2CM. I know this is tedious advice, but pz666's suggestion is worth trying. If it still isn't working after a fresh download and a fresh install, then try temporarily uninstalling all other mods and try this mod on its own. You need to rule things out and narrow down the problem.

Also consider if you have been using a mixture of JSGME and AMS2CM - that could cause issues. You don't need bootfiles with AMS2CM (it generates them automatically), so if you run it, then use JSGME with bootfiles on top of it, you are probably overwriting the driveline.rg file, which could cause the crash you are seeing. I'd suggest uninstalling any bootfiles you have in JSGME before using AMS2CM.

Failing that, you could also try the 'Verify integrity of game files' option in Steam to make sure there is no issue with your AMS2 install. Unlikely, but would rule another thing out.

Great mod, but I can't handle the car in the oval. I turned the steering wheel only, just a little bit and the car is keep doing oversteer. Can you recommend any setups for the oval?
