Ive learned over the years that not all things go to plan, so I will not speculate on what GTR3 will bring. Personally I think they (simbin) are relying on the history of their name to carry them, problem is they are a new simbin, not the old dev team from GTR2, and from all counts are still searching for key staff.

If SimBin can release their GTR3 title within a short period of ACC's release then they may take some of the market, but the longer it takes them to bring something playable to the pc screen the harder it will be to convince the die hard GT3 racer to migrate from ACC to GTR3.

I'm a fan of the WEC & endurance racing, love to watch it on the Teev, but where is the market for endurance sim racing?
There's very few endurance events held on a regular basis, like monthly, the Bathurst GT event run on the weekend is an example of how rare these awesome endurance events are held. I get the impression most sim racers prefer sprints over endurance racing, but I could be very wrong in this assumption:cautious:

I guess in the end we sim-racers will decide what we like & dislike, but we will be spoilt for choice:thumbsup:
Why should a new team not be able to continue the GT3 lagacy? It's not rockband where the leadsinger left and he was most influential artist and songwriter. Ok many members were going to SlightlyMad. Who does still play pCARS 1-2 on a daily basis without getting anoyed?

Ian Bell and his team did good job with GTR 2, I don't believe this new title will be as successful since it has completely different dev team what original GTR/GTR2 had.

“SimBin Studios UK is a newly formed English game developer committed to the creation of realistic racing experiences on current and next generation hardware, focusing on bringing the latest technology and mechanics to modern racing simulation.”

So does that mean that Simbin UK is Simbin in name only?
Did Simbin UK take over any licenses or people from the original company?
Doesn’t look like it, apart from the name.

Simbin as a developing studio made a restart as Sector 3, at least with Raceroom and people working on that, so the whole Simbin UK thing has me confused.

“Sector3 Studios AB is a Swedish game developer committed to the creation of realistic championship experiences for motorsport series worldwide, including; DTM, ADAC GT Masters, and the WTCC.

Established in 2014 by accomplished developers from SimBin Studios, Sector3 quickly assumed responsibility for the development of RaceRoom and began releasing updates to meet and exceed community expectations for the virtual racing platform.“

Marketing or debt evasion?
Lots of room for speculation...

Are you sure ISI didn't just sell the game to S397? They keep rfactor pro so probaby they still have control over the engine itself.

I am sure, I read and signed the contract myself.

rFpro is not owned by ISI either, it is a UK based company. It is true their codebase is based on rFactor, and I do believe that ISI is now working with rFpro, acting as their US office.
