Things are moving at Codemasters
I might get on later but it is unlikely to be before 9pm i'm afraid Robert and tomorrow I am at work all day. Besides I won't be around for the BTCC ones unfortunately unless the second race date is changing. I am away from the 9th to the 16th and unlikely to be back in time to race the one scheduled on that day. The next definite race date I can make is the one on the 30th if I remember correctly.
BTW I checked my Mini last night and it was on level 15 but still had the pretty useless basic tuning. I thought level 15 unlocked more. Do all the cars require the same levels or are they different for each one. I am assuming the latter as in the other car I have is a lower level than the Mini but has a couple of more options open. I think I also saw that a couple of them could be opened to basic level at a cost... It's just a confusing mess lol.
no prob robert. your doing good job with leagues, im very busy these days, so didnt really had time, or to lazy to check the times, but ithought it was 10pm, so 11pm for me. so you racet 1 hour later then this i think.Sorry about that, but I don't think the time changed, just the designation of GMT. Many think GMT is equivalent to what time it is in London, but I was informed by Bram that it best to post races in actual GMT, so that's GMT+1 in London. But as far as I know the actual time didn't change. Sorry for the confusion. These races may be juggled around a bit, but mostly on Saturday nights. So keep a watch. Love to have you as always.
I hope the patch does as they have said and gives everyone their cars back intact. You mentioned before that you will then have two garages to choose from but how does that work exactly. You can only load one garage at a time I take it so would you have to race under a different gamertag for each? Not having had it happen to me I am still in the dark about exactly hwo it all works when you have two save games available.
I still cannot find anyone online to level up with whenever I am on. The lobbies are just a wasteland at the moment so even that route has been impossible although I am reluctant to go that route anyway with the way public lobbies tend to be.
I tried the Mini at +100 and just didn't like it. I found that somewhere around 60 was optimal for me, at least thats where it felt the best in the little tests I did. The brakes at +100 were horrible. Those were the only things I could tune at all. I am pretty sure that when I flicked through the Mini tune options some required level 24 or smething before they were even at their basic level. I'll have to check it out again next time I get on.It is confusing, but I think level 16 gets you everything "adjustable" including the diff. Personally, I think it's worth setting the diff and the springs at 100+ in the lower end cars, or you would even take the offset approach, but 100+ is not that massive of a swing, just like 11 v 1 used to be in F1. And at Level 16, you get that option for all cars, I think. I like to take mine up to a level where I at least get quarter increments, then try to go higher if I can.

With F1 in all honesty I never really feel the difference between 1 and 11 like I can between 0 and +100. The adjustment appears much more subtle.
I think I am probably going to have to just accept that the tuning is not going to be an option for me unless I can find a cheat for it somewhere
8:30pm? I thougt we were at 10:30pm.. what time zone are we talking here again lolJesus H. Wes. You are going to slaughter us. I don't think any of us could get in to the 20s, even with a tuned car. Maybe Boothy. He will be your main competition unless Chris gets leveled up and keeps the game.
Just figure out whatever true GMT is (I think you are +2 from true GMT now, right?) and do that math form there. Also check back to the forum often, as the times may change due to schedule adjustments and trying to make it possible for the maximum amount of people to race. But our "standard" race time is 8:30pm GMT on Saturdays. I'm not going to be inflexible about the time because if we can get more in and I have that time open to host, I'm all for changing on the go (like we did with last Monday). I think we have a pretty active group that checks the forums regularly.

No problem Robert, i'll just work it on a race by race basis once each thread is up..If I have to work on Saturday, it will be at 6pm my time, which means we would either need to switch to another day or run the race at 4:30pm my time. That's 9:30pm BST. That's the "standard" start time, mostly because you wanted to go as late as possible on Saturdays (if we had to run Saturdays, which we chose to do) and because I can't go but so late due to work. So, it's before dinner time here in the U.S. and after dinner time there in the U.K. But I have a feeling there will be many races that run on different days or times, by unanimous vote, as long as the group stays somewhat small.
Touring class, Category C. Any of those. They are the British Touring Cars.
They seem more like WTCC cars to me personally. Don't think they have these in BTCC i know all these are in WTCC though.
i managed a 1:26.51 within a few laps practice. i Imagine with tuning and practice i could knock at least a second off that....
i'm also around 1:26:xxx without setup during 8-10 laps. i was tired for more practice was 31 Celsius degrees here and that killed mei managed a 1:26.51 within a few laps practice. i Imagine with tuning and practice i could knock at least a second off that....
The two series' are very close in spec and look, and in fact share many regulations (rather, the BTCC adopted WTCC guidelines to encourage participation internationally).
In the last couple of years, I think you have seen a shift in cars in the BTCC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2013_British_Touring_Car_Championship_season), but the cars in GRID were mainly based on the 2013 or previous season of the BTCC. And Codemasters have said this Category is meant to represent that year in BTCC, although many do cross over and look/drive similar to WTCC.
In BTCC, currently (although they seem to be running Coupes mostly now):
The Honda Civic is there -- http://www.btcc.net/team/honda-yuasa-racing/
The Ford Focus is there -- http://www.btcc.net/team/airwaves-racing/
The Chevy Cruise is there -- http://www.btcc.net/team/power-maxed-racing/
The BMW 320 up until 2013 -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Surrey_Racing
are you saying i should have bought the ford or the honda? lolI did a bit of research and the Chevrolet & BMW are WTCC and the Honda & Ford are BTCC im up to level 34 in my Honda not gunna lie im surprised how quick it was in a straight line can't corner for anything but the thing is damn fast
are you saying i should have bought the ford or the honda? lol
