I STONGLY advise everyone to hold on to your money. There is a major glitch in the game which all but ruins it for online play. In a nutshell, all of your saved file data becomes "corrupt" and you cannot load your profile and saved date. All you cars, money, XP, everything...is lost. You have three options. Backup your game files to a flash drive and hope that the patch will fix them after applied and you reload; start a new carer either deleting your old info (from scratch) or with a backup; stop playing online until the patch comes out. If you must play online, for god sake, don't buy, use, sell, look or even smell any cars that are or you want to be your "own."

I lost 7 cars, two were leveled up above 45 and the rest has enough for tuning. Presumably, I lost all my cash too.

Direct your questions here, as this is too big an issue for me to advise you on....

As for the league, we will either have to go forward with loaner cars for people who get struck by this bug or wait for the patch, Rumor is, it should be here any day.

Hey guys what settings are you using with the 3d and what driver view are you using ie depth etc
I was trying it tonight and found it was best to drive in bumper cam, I found if I used the cockpit views it seem to get a little blurred although the sense of speed was amazing and definitely put a smile on my face :D

Wow, that's a major bug Robert. I read about this last week but I hadn't realised this was an Xbox problem as well. From what I read they said once the patch is available your old corrupt data will be restored so you should get everything back... Hopefully. The mind boggles how they let these things slip through. For everything good they do things like this are a such big downer for them and don't give anyone confidence in them at all.

As for your comment about the league I'm all for going with loaner cars anyway as it gives a level playing field for all concerned

I use the "default" cockpit view. The reason being I just love it that way :) Than again I am still in the midst of fine-tuning and finalising my cockpit so by the time that is done I might think differently.

BTW I had a quick go at the three challenges last night that I had not tried and absolutely love the Champs Elysee scenario, great circuit and tremendous feel through the wheel. But that Hockenheim drift thingy.. WTF!! What is that all about... felt like I was driving around my living room, I just didn't get it at all.

With immediate effect new content for GRID Autosport is made available by Codemasters for GRID Autosport. Gamers can purchase The ‘Best of British’ Car Pack for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Windows PC for £2.39

The ‘Best of British’ car pack features three vehicles, each engineered and produced in the UK. In the video above you can see the cars in action, introduced by Lead Handling Designer Gehan Pathiraja, who comments of the creation process, “We spend hours of research and a lot of time behind the pad and the steering wheel to make them [the cars] as accurate as possible. There’s a lot of work that goes into it to make it feel like that car. Because we’ve taken a handcrafted approach, we really care for the gameplay and we want other people to experience that as well.”

1995 McLaren F1 GTR
“We all know the McLaren F1 is an awesome road car – this is the GTR designed for Endurance Racing. It’s got a huge wing that will give you massive downforce in the corners, it’s all about being brave and attacking those corners at speeds you never thought possible.”

2011 Aston Martin Zagato V12
“The Zagato model has bodywork styled by Italian designers, but has a typical Aston Martin V12 engine, very powerful, very torquey. If you can manage the weight and the grip and fire it out the corners, you’ll benefit from all that power from the V12.”

2007 McLaren Mercedes SLR 722
“It’s got a huge supercharged V8 engine that sounds like an old World War Two Spitfire. There’s clearly a lot of power being put out from the V8, and you can really feel that in the car in our game.”

I hear you. And agree totally. What is it about Paris that seems to be memorizing in this game? Maybe they just picked great cars, but I could feel every cobblestone and almost crashed looking at the scenery/reality of it all. Drifting lol. I never got it. I stuggle to get bronze and then move on. I mean, I could get higher drifting scores on any given F1 race weekend. lol.

I don't think we should change the rule because the patch will come within four weeks and the first couple of cars (or four races) don't seem to drive that differently with tuning. If the patch doesn't complete fix this, then we may have to revisit using all loaners. I wish they would release more information since if I knew what caused the problem, I could avoid it. I could even get a leveled up MINI by Saturday.

The problem is though apart from the the level playing field issue don't you risk losing the cars you worked hard for by using them online with this corrupt save problem unresolved?

Think I will probably go the loaner route until it's sorted. Just hope its not another issue like the one that plagued so many in F1.

Had my first bash at Washington today and that was fun. Can't believe anyone criticises the AI, I ran against Hard and had such a great time even though I only finished 11th lol. Spent the first couple of laps learning the circuit then the last 3 chasing down the AI, loved it.. I'll get the buggers next time :)

What sort of times you guys doing here and how do you fare against Hard AI?

Absolutely right Robert, when I was racing Washington I was racing over the bridge looking left and right at the views lol
