@JordanHampson-P70EM
I still need your gamertag for xbox or you to send me a friend request. My xobox will not accept dashes as part of your gamertag, so I was unable to include you on my friends list for invites to races.

Also, be sure to friend everyone on the above sign up list so you can compare times on the leaderboards, when #&*#ing Codemasters gets them sorted out properly. We can do that now on the online challenges and it makes for a good point of reference.

@Chris Hempsall I picked up that Honda that you have taken too for the Endurance Tier 2 races. Found it a real blast to drive, so much power although with no tuning available for it yet I was maxing out around halfway down the straights lol . Didn’t have too many problems with it in terms of handling (just an inability to avoid the turn 4 wall on the exit of Indy lol) so really looking forward to those races when they come around.

Oh yeah it's got some punch behind it. You saw how it went for me at the weekend. Very hard beast to tame.

I have added my vote for Thursdays to the poll above but only because thats the only one I can 'potentially' make out of those available. 5pm Sundays is definitely out and 8pm Friday and Saturday is very much questionable.

My preference would be for later races as the ealier ones are very difficult for me to make so 10pm starts would suit me far more.

However, I understand that my preferences are unlikely to match those of others so accept that this has to be done on the basis of what day and time suits the majority here and i'll just make races whenever I can.

Same here before 9 would be really hard for me. So thursday 9 onwards or during the week around same time. As an alternative sundays when cup over.

I'm struggling to find the right settings- IN GAME - for the brake pedal, it's difficult due to the loadcell, and not being able to press fully down. And it only works best when you press the brake pedal fully down, atm it only goes about 75%, and i'm not sure what settings to change for the brake pedal to make 75% force 100% force. I may need to change the brake saturation, but im not sure. If anyone could help that would be grateful!

Thanks

Did you try changing the sensitivity of the load cell or is it working fine in other racing games but just not sensitive enough in GRID Auto?

Hey everyone, just a heads up as we're currently preparing a patch, which is scheduled to be released tomorrow (9th July). The patch should fix a number of issues including the save file corruption.

Patch Notes
  • Nvidia 3D VISION Fix - Improvements in UI interactions when using NVidia 3D Vision.
  • UI Fix - (French & Portuguese) Online session text updated for easier readability in French & Portuguese languages.
  • Career Fix - Fixed configuration issues which intermittently caused certain races to use the qualifying results for the starting grid positions rather than the previous race results in reverse.
  • AMD CrossFire Fix - Resolved graphical issues which could appear during menu transitions when CrossFire is enabled.
  • Online Fix - Fixed disconnection issues which could potentially cause checkpoint sessions to end prematurely if hosts lose their online connection.
  • Online Fix - Resolved issues which sporadically caused session length times to cease displaying within the voting screen.
  • UI Fix - Fixed rare instances of the total points OSD appearing within a drift zone then persisting on race results and rewards screens after drift event.
  • Nvidia SLI Fix - Fixed flickering menu transition artefacts which occur on certain SLI configurations.
  • UI Fix - Improved readability in relation to the online player XP scores when playing with 4:3 aspect ratio.
  • Art Fix - (Paris Track) - Fixed track issues within Paris routes which occurred when playing in ultra low graphical presets.
  • Online Fix - Resolved issues which could sometimes cause the player to receive damage twice if the online session experienced packet loss.
  • UI Fix - Improved the event rules messaging text to better differentiate between various online game modes.
  • Art Fix - Resolved rare track issues which could have caused the player wheels to sink into the ground whilst on certain tracks.
  • UI Fix - Added a fix to prevent the vehicle avoidance OSD message appearing on screen when the feature is switched off.
  • UI Fix - Resolved issues which could potentially cause the scoring prompts to stay on during drift games.
  • Save Game Fix - Fixed a save game corruption issue which could occur over time in specific circumstances.

As the title would suggest, GRiD AS keeps closing and returns to the desktop.
I can play, do a couple of laps then blam, no game.

I've heard this is a bit of a problem for Nvidia card owners, but as I have AMD cards, I cant find any solution to help, or even why its happening!

Anyone else have this problem?

What are your PC specs and OS? Anything overclocked? Does it happen consistently after a few laps?

Maybe:

C:/Users/ACCOUNTNAME/Documents/My Games/Grid Autosport/hardwaresettings in file hardware_settings_config.xml

change:
<directx forcedx10="false" /> to <directx forcedx10="true" />

OR:

The fix is conserning for us all who have downloaded the free HD texture DLC and are having the black screen crash (DX11 mode).
The fix is:
Right click Grid: autosport and go to properties. There you go to the DLC tab and untick the HD texture DLC pack.
Start the game and go in the options menu to graphic and set your advanced graphic to automatic.

OR:

Confirmed, tested and backtested to Grid 2 and showdown:
Try to only use the premade graphic details. aka just high, ultra ect. WITHOUT changing anything.
Costum settings can crash.
Tested that also with Grid 2 and Showdown and it fixed the black screen crash for me.
