If you go to the top of this page and select GRID Autosport Club and Leagues it should take you to our league section. There, click the thread
Autosport Touring Car Championship

As for your shifting schedule, are there any days that you can reliably say you have off? Like Sunday or Saturday? Is the business ever closed? Thanks.

Well, I guess you have to grow up driving Mustangs and Corvettes to really know their personality. Around here, we dreamed of owning a Lambo or a Ferrari, but Mustangs were just everywhere. Only the Corvette, however, became a legitimate racer in the past 15 years or so, NASCAR aside. They still dominate the Le Mans series but not as much as 5 years ago.

I guess the name is appropriate, because you take Mustang and it goes fast and sounds even faster, but can't corner worth ****. So, as long as you just glide through the corners (the opposite of most racing: gear down to slow early in, then gradually faster, but not too fast out) you will be good to go because they sure can pack a punch down the straights. And they are geared very low with few gears. Your NASCAR experience should have helped you with that one though. I was off of you at Paris by .2 . But that Audi drives like a dream. I may have to figure out which series it's in and readjust my car choice.

Hey Jordan, I could not fried you because I have no option to use dashes. Are you sure that's your xbox gamertag? If so, send me a friend request, and I'm sure it will save.

You have all been promoted to club "managers" now. So what? You may ask. Good question. Well, not much, but here is what RaceNet says:

Manager
Managers can do almost all the things the Principals can do, except disband the club and make new principals.
Permissions Over Steward: Modify Club Settings, Club Livery, Club Crest, and Description text. Promote and demote members at Manager rank and below.

I have made a new Club Livery for any car a club member owns and drives online. All you need to do is go to your cars, then click on a car, then click on livery and you will be given a list of livery options. One of them is "RaceNet Cub Livery" so please choose this one when you race on line (not in a league race) and it will boost our club rankings.

We have created a new livery!

For members of the "Race Departmnt X" or "RDX" Club (those on the xbox and signed up or interested in league play)

Invites are pending for:
1. @Chris Hempsall
2. @Coach Kernzy
3. @Alexander Hellwig (I think) (BTW, Alex, love to have you in the league).

Go To:
https://racenet.codemasters.com/grid-autosport/club/87/race-departmnt-x

And then accept the invitation. Then you can link your Gamertag on GRID A/S to Race Department

So, whenever you run an online race (not a league race) be sure to with your Race Club livery. It will be a way to level up the club so we can challenge other clubs in the top tiers. And for bragging rights too.

Plus, you can see all sorts of stats on the website, like who is at what level, and details about their race stats and cars.

If you have a strong preference, vote only for that choice. If you need to explain your vote, please feel free to do so.

Voted:

1. Me
2. Peter
3. Chris
4. Matthew
5. Jordan
6. Karl

I have added my vote for Thursdays to the poll above but only because thats the only one I can 'potentially' make out of those available. 5pm Sundays is definitely out and 8pm Friday and Saturday is very much questionable.

My preference would be for later races as the ealier ones are very difficult for me to make so 10pm starts would suit me far more.

However, I understand that my preferences are unlikely to match those of others so accept that this has to be done on the basis of what day and time suits the majority here and i'll just make races whenever I can.

Really wish I had the same level of tuneability with my wheel. Just seems that you are much more able to find the sweetspot with this facility and get the game feeling that much better.

Still not there with mine and not sure I will reach that feel that is so desireable. The centre area around the wheel just seems a little off for me (not hleped by the stupid deadzone increments!! what were they thinking!!) and so far I have not been able to find what I am looking for. It's worse in the open wheelers than in anything else at the moment.

Seeing as there are threads for other wheel users I thought I would start one here for users without the CSR or Thurstmaster wheels with their ability to independantly adjust settings outside of those in the game.

I am using the Official Microsoft Wireless Wheel and my current in game settings are as follows:-

Steering Deadzone 5%
Steering Saturation 100%
Steering Linearity -4
Throttle Deadzone 0%
Throttle Saturation 100%
Brake Deadzone 2%
Brake Saturation 100%

I’ve played around a bit with these trying to find something that gives me the sort of feel and accuracy that I enjoy but have so far fell short. The above is ok but not really where I want it to be.
In the open wheelers there’s a kind of see-sawing feel around the centre of the wheel making getting into the corners tougher than I would like and also making close quarter racing more difficult. Far more correcting of the steering is required than there should be at the moment.

The deadzone isn’t helping here and I wish they would patch this to allow much lower increments as 5% is simply too wide a range. I feel that if I could have it somewhere around the 2-3% mark it would be about right.

Linearity is the area that I feel has the biggest effect. I initially had this at -1 think it was maybe a bit too dead there. Anything too positive introduces a very bad zig-zagging effect as though you are sawing at the wheel. I tried it at +10 and this was just impossible for me although maybe with a change in the deadzone it would improve.

Throttle and brake saturation has to be high for me. I tried the other end of the scale and had no control at all. I will probably experiment around the high levels though but can’t see that anything below 75% would work but happy to be proven wrong if anyone else has an alternate viewpoint to this.

Brake deadzone I just like to have slightly off zero to give that bit of leeway in case my foot inadvertently touches it harder than I realize during the races.

I hope to see some input from others here as I really want to get this game feeling as good as I can.

@Railer Cantrell @Chris Hempsall feel free to give your settings here too

Just had a look at the club stats and can't belive that you've raced 229 races already .

Explain to me again what are the XP levels achieved are for though as mine and Karls still are down at zero? When we were racing the other night my XP was totting up each time so can;t quite work out why it's showing as zero on there :O_o:

Thursdays will definitely exclude Railer, and probably Karl and the new guy, but I threw it in there just in case it was popular enough to consider a hybrid schedule, kind of like we were trying to do in the Classics.
