The infield is a really nice circuit to race and should provide some decent racing. No Challenge for these cars this week again though so it's going to be the default tune. Never anyone in the lobbies whenever I check them out, you guys over the pond seem to have it sorted in that respect.

What sort of time is being achieved with a tuned car?

Just back from lunch having gone for a 5 minute practice, 2 lap quali and 5 lap race. Quali was poor and started 6th but was racing well and up to 3rd following a 36.2 and 36.7 on laps 2 and 3 before the ol' unreadable disc error froze the game :poop:. Started up again and went straight for a 5 lapper with no quali and won the race but without matching my earlier 36's. Brakes, diff and gears definitely need adjusting for me to get into the 35's.

Peter, if you are online Look up Omracer65, he's a real good guy that just loves to race. He helps me level up if I don't bore him to death by running just ovals. I usually run the track we race at anyway and adjust as I unlock stuff. That way I have the basic car and track down and only improve on what I need.

I'll seek him out next time i'm on. I think it's probably just to do with the odd times I tend to get on. Tried again lunchtime but not a sould around.... I had visions of the hay ball rolling by as I sat looking at the screen lol.

I

Im on now
I really enjoyed racing around with Peter, Bob, and Railer . Hell we had like 7 people in the room at one point. It should never be said that you can't get on here and find someone to race with. Met a cool dude from Charlotte NC "The Racing Edge" that had the same goal in mind for leveling up his car. If you create a "No Assists", "Forced Cockpit View" room you tend to keep the Riff-Raff :poop: out, and attract the more capable drivers. (I have always been of the mind that the Chase View just leads to blocking anyway)

Thanks for the run out last night Michael, would love to have stayed for longer than the 4 races but it was fun and good to meet Bob who I have sent a friend request to. Only acheived the very basic (full left-middle-full right) tuning on brakes and suspension and although the brakes are useless with those extremes and better left at default the suspension at fully stiff is better for me I feel and at least saw me beat my previous best albeit by only just over a tenth. The rest I need to get levelled up quite a bit more to have any real tuning capability.. the extreme left and right are pretty useless on most areas and make the car worse than default

Got on this morning again but as always the lobbies were empty. It's as I said yesterday it seems my race times are not suitable to find anyone else around. Only other time I managed to get on and find some people around was a few weeks ago when I got on at a similar time to last night and raced with a bunch including Eddie Helmet. Seems I need to move over the pond or just not sleep ;)

Yeah I see most people online from about 6pm-10pm EST. When I come home from lunch usually Bob is the only one on at that time if he's on at all. He's retired but he is still very active in working on his 36' Chevy Coupe which I assume looks a lot like this one:

That error sucks. It seems to haunt you. I used to get it in Race Pro and it wiped everything out. Then again, starting career over in Race Pro is a joy. :inlove:

With such little interest in this league (but a solid core) I'm wondering where it's headed after this season Peter. I know you are keen to keep it going, Boothy I think is on the PS4, and Hemps the One? Railer and Michael keep threatening to get a wheel and a One respectively. I'd personally love to stay on the 360 for something as long as the POS Fanatec hold up, but Race Pro would be my preference. New tracks, perfect for smaller grids, and you get Practice, Qualifying, Fuel, Tire, and Race Pits, plus exquisite tuning. And that's all after getting the best physics on the 360.

I'd still like to keep something going here so we'll see what the interest is once we are done. Pretty sure Michael is definitely up for more, Hemps will still have the 360 for the F1 league so may still be up for it and Boothy has had the PS4 for a while so may still be up for more here along with Karl who is sticking with the 360 for the foreseeable . Still plenty to explore here I think, we've only scratched the surface of the open wheelers and endurance racing so there may be some scope to continue in:) those areas yet

I would also like some RacePro, I posted about it in thread on the Other Games forum.

Only issue is the fact that you have to unlock the cars from what I remember and I lost all mine when my HDD failed so would have to go through all that again before having the cars to race with but I'll look into it for sure.

If I could find Race Pro really really cheap.. I might give it another try. I just wasn't impressed with when I paid full price for it the first time, so it was traded within the first two weeks. I was really hoping we could do a full endurance series, either with a car everyone has, or a No-Tuning series.
