Things are moving at Codemasters
Oh boy, well I haven't run a race yet but I was 2 seconds off that in the practice and quali session I ran earlier this week. Not sure I can get into the 35's untuned so I better get my extra wide fenders on and hope I start up frontI'm not consistent, but I did get a 1:35.4 in a race.
Sorry to hear that Chris... all the best and have a safe journey down to the smoke.Hey guys....Erm....You can keep this on Saturday.
Funeral in London on Monday, leaving Sunday afternoon.
I feel a bit silly now after you agreed to change it, thanks for the gesture. This was a bit unforeseen though.
Too short.
I'll seek him out next time i'm on. I think it's probably just to do with the odd times I tend to get on. Tried again lunchtime but not a sould around.... I had visions of the hay ball rolling by as I sat looking at the screen lol.Peter, if you are online Look up Omracer65, he's a real good guy that just loves to race. He helps me level up if I don't bore him to death by running just ovals. I usually run the track we race at anyway and adjust as I unlock stuff. That way I have the basic car and track down and only improve on what I need.

Im on nowill be on about 9ish your time
I really enjoyed racing around with Peter, Bob, and Railer . Hell we had like 7 people in the room at one point. It should never be said that you can't get on here and find someone to race with. Met a cool dude from Charlotte NC "The Racing Edge" that had the same goal in mind for leveling up his car. If you create a "No Assists", "Forced Cockpit View" room you tend to keep the Riff-Raff out, and attract the more capable drivers. (I have always been of the mind that the Chase View just leads to blocking anyway)I
Im on now
Thanks for the run out last night Michael, would love to have stayed for longer than the 4 races but it was fun and good to meet Bob who I have sent a friend request to. Only acheived the very basic (full left-middle-full right) tuning on brakes and suspension and although the brakes are useless with those extremes and better left at default the suspension at fully stiff is better for me I feel and at least saw me beat my previous best albeit by only just over a tenth. The rest I need to get levelled up quite a bit more to have any real tuning capability.. the extreme left and right are pretty useless on most areas and make the car worse than defaultI really enjoyed racing around with Peter, Bob, and Railer . Do the full circuit, It's 2 minutes of fast flowing track
Just back from lunch having gone for a 5 minute practice, 2 lap quali and 5 lap race. Quali was poor and started 6th but was racing well and up to 3rd following a 36.2 and 36.7 on laps 2 and 3 before the ol' unreadable disc error froze the game . Started up again and went straight for a 5 lapper with no quali and won the race but without matching my earlier 36's. Brakes, diff and gears definitely need adjusting for me to get into the 35's.
I'd still like to keep something going here so we'll see what the interest is once we are done. Pretty sure Michael is definitely up for more, Hemps will still have the 360 for the F1 league so may still be up for it and Boothy has had the PS4 for a while so may still be up for more here along with Karl who is sticking with the 360 for the foreseeable . Still plenty to explore here I think, we've only scratched the surface of the open wheelers and endurance racing so there may be some scope to continue in those areas yetThat error sucks. It seems to haunt you. I used to get it in Race Pro and it wiped everything out. Then again, starting career over in Race Pro is a joy.
With such little interest in this league (but a solid core) I'm wondering where it's headed after this season Peter. I know you are keen to keep it going, Boothy I think is on the PS4, and Hemps the One? Railer and Michael keep threatening to get a wheel and a One respectively. I'd personally love to stay on the 360 for something as long as the POS Fanatec hold up, but Race Pro would be my preference. New tracks, perfect for smaller grids, and you get Practice, Qualifying, Fuel, Tire, and Race Pits, plus exquisite tuning. And that's all after getting the best physics on the 360.
