Autosport Superspeedway IndyCar Race
______________________________
Saturday, March 14, 2015
9:00pm British, 5:00pm EST U.S.

Race #1: Random order mixed with no A.I. (20 laps)
Race #2: Finishing order from Race #1, no A.I. (20 laps)

Race #3: Finishing order from Race #2, no A.I. (20 laps)

As you know, A.I. can be dangerous, and on a super-speedway, it is virtually impossible to compete while they are present. Be sure to pick your car well and stay out of trouble.
Lobby to open at 3:45pm U.S. Eastern and informal practice sessions may take place before, however, the race will start on time. Late drivers may join after qualifying or any race is complete. Your host will be: Robert Waddell / OctoberDusk06. Please sign up with your name and gamertag and be sure to friend request October if you are racing. Good luck!

Race Format
Oval Races:
Only loaner cars are eligible because of the performance variances between the conditioning. You will be allowed three (2) flashbacks during each race. Flashbacks set you back about 5 seconds before the "incident" took place that you wish to redo. You should be ghosted during this process. You may use them at any time, but best to use them if you get severely damaged or killed. Races will start from a standing start

Each race is of equal distance an will take about 15 minutes to complete, depending on various factors.

NOTE:
- The game will not allow pit stops
- Flashbacks WILL be allowed at oval races (2 each race) but not at other races.
- Damage will be “full”
- Collisions will be “on”
- Tuning will be "off" for oval races and loaner cars must be used.
- No A.I. for ovals.

Be careful because the game does not allow pit stops, so repeated damage (indicated by icons on the right lower HUD and progressive in increments of yellow then red) due to a well developed damage model could seriously compromise your race.

Upgrades: Disallowed
View: Any
Gears: Manual or Automatic
Assists: Disallowed

Views: Cockpit Only

NOTE: Since races will be recorded, all contact, whether intentional, unintentional or protested, *will be* reviewed (if possible) by the director and Chief Steward for any driving infractions and unsportsmanlike conduct. If the Director or Chief Steward is involved, it will be reviewed by a randomly chosen third party, along with another non-involved party. The least severe punishment decided will be issued (or none at all) and appeal may be made. Be sure to see the Rules and the Rules supplement here.

Oh yea, but the seven billion dollars it cost to buy one I doubt would make the rest of the poor class happy. And we have to keep them happy or they will revolt. Damn surfs.

Well, seriously, Boothy, there is not much difference in an non-tunable owned car and a loaner here. What you will find is that the drafting is MUCH more intense, and much more of a factor. If you can keep it out of the wall. Peter had a bang up race against the very hard A.I. and said they were even catch-able and passable if you had enough laps, but also gave you a good battle if you left a gap. Humans will be even better. Flashbacks will prevent road rage I hope. lol.

Had another 20 lapper last night against the very hard AI. Started 5th and allowed a few more past at the start before starting the chase down. Most of the AI are fairly easily catchable in the loaner and once you get past they fall away but the top 2 or 3 are more competitive and once past them they will generally stick to your backside like glue but are quite predictable in their moves and don’t make any real effort to get past unless you make an error.

Had a bash at a couple of the Racenet Challenges last night as well. The Formula B at Mount Panarama is a lot of fun and I definitely fancy another run out in those at some point. I bought one and levelled it up a bit with two attempts at that challenge. Also had a look at the public lobby and was disappointed to find just one lobby active  Stayed in it for a few races at Sepang (short course), Paris and then Red Bull Ring and had some fun with a few. That Eddie Helmet guy was in a couple of them…

Well definitely won't make it. The band me and my wife want to see aren't going up until 5:45 EST.:(
Have fun... Since I won't be racing tomorrow It would be nice to see Random Starts so everyone has a chance to start on the pole and hug the yellow line. There still won't be any passing . But you guys can try and prove me wrong. :p
