Oh I am on at 4pm on Sat. and just got on here as no one is online. Crap, #$%&*, @##^&*(. I can't believe it's a Sunday race. After all the work I will miss this one as my hockey season starts tomorrow yeah at 4pm, but I have to be at the arena no later than 3pm. So you guys enjoy this race, can't wait to see the videos, know it will be fun.
Thanks Robert for all your help and fun last night with setups.

Well, sorry to hear you will miss Railer, but I had a good time running practice with you. I thought we had all realized that Valentine's Day made this race a no-go, but sorry for the confusion anyway.

It's funny how we have the oddest heroes growing up, but a Flyers Goalie was one of mine. As you probably know, Richmond was the AAA farm team for the Flyers through much of the 1970s. And I was a goalie in little league. So I worshiped http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michel_Belhumeur.

I met him once on the ice after a game and he gave me some tips. I was just in awe. Although he was acquired by the Capitals in the expansion draft, he didn't do too well in the NHL, but he was great in Richmond. Play like him, though, just for old times sake...and WIN!

The track is easy to learn. And you do it much faster than I. From there, the car is entirely drivable with middle settings. The only ones I have full right are downforce and gears, but you can control oversteer a lot better. And this course lends itself to a lot of gliding, which is just about as fast as pushing.

Had a pretty good result here, despite what the numbers say. :D I unfortunately didn't keep my goal of keeping he car in one piece during the second race, but did put up a battle with Peter (some might call it a roadblock, but why quibble) in the first, and was pacing the field, or at least keeping pace with the field, being about .5 off of Peter's best lap. But honestly, Michael would have smoked me I'm sure had he not has some sheet metal issues.

Second race, it's always tough when you get caught up with the A.I., so I feel your pain there Michael, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out these cars (at least with my wobble wheel) handle about the same when the steering and suspension is yellow. Red is a whole 'nuther ballgame, of course. Kept thinking the whole race "why is everyone moaning about the wall section under the concrete tunnel...it's so easy?" then BAM I hit the damn thing with about 3 laps to go in the second race and had to quit out.. Such is life I guess. I'll take a win over Mr. "1000 laps" any day. And I might have gotten Mr. East Ender if that snafu was just a bit more damaging. lol. Videos to come. This time, you will actually be able to watch them.

P.S. - Michael gave me some great advice that I had forgotten how easy it was to do. On a Sunday, either before or after the race (after for me) create a private lobby that is "open" and run some familiar tracks, 1-2 laps. Run 5. Yo sit there for a while then, bingo, people come on in. At one point, I almost had a full lobby. Make sure the damage is off so it's just a ghost race, but I went from level 11 to 38 in no time in my newly purchased VW. I really think that car is going to be the **** around Dubai. I'm already beating the fastest A.I. Of course, if Boothy gets his ass back in here, that may just be a laughing point. But I'm going to really work on that circuit, since I love it's simplicity, yet nuanced nature.

Oh, and also, the guy that ran wih me for most of the runs was very fast and very clean. English chap named Eddie Helmet. Said he would "see us at 9pm next Saturday."
