Had my first attempt at the Sepang Racenet Challenge. Lots of fun, nice short lap so you can get plenty of attempts in. Had three goes this morning and got from level 25 to level 37 but left myself enough room to progress some more so that I should get to quarters on each tuning option with another couple of goes.

Yeah, that song was provided by YouTube. I had a choice of about 20 to put on there. I'm still experimenting with recording options trying to find away to get race sound and better picture without dropping a lot of dough. Remember I'm saving up for a Xbone, LoL.

Yea, that's what I did since we are on our own now apparently. But it did, like you say, prove fruitful. My xbow settings are very bizarre, but they seem to work. (like the gearing we were talking about). I'm like you Peter, can't seem to get any partners to level up, so I'm sticking with the one that's already at 27, even if it's inferior as a base model. Yas we all know! Should be a very close race, like Spa.

After 134,453 laps, I think you should go first Michael. Then we can all post after (or not) based upon our level of embarrassment. lol. Although I have a feeling the F1 crowd (Peter will be there for sure) will eat this track up.

Dangit Robert I was on from 3pm-6:30 today My wife will shoot me if I get back on to race :( I couldn't find anyone to stay in a room with me. I'm running 2:11's on average. Every now and then I can hit a 2:10. The AI on hard was a non-factor.
Actually I don't know how many laps I've run  but as of today I'm at 11,938 miles run :p

I was barely on Grid last week. Did some Shift on Saturday. I don't have a set schedule but I usually can only race when nobody is home or everyone is asleep. But I don't mind running some laps at the track. I was on today from 3pm-6:30pm EST today.

I saw you on around 2:30am last night, but I was not sure it was you....
Anytime you see me Mike, please feel free to grab me for some laps. A couple of times I have tried to message you but it was not you. Last night I was doing this:
Ignore my shitty driving, but look at the great decals (Perelli and the Mobile 1 on the front bumper) that Railer designed. I'm not as patient, but I'm trying. He's got some whole cars designed too I think (RUF) but I could not find them to race.

Really enjoying this track and especially these cars, so much fun to drive J

I’ve had 3 offline sessions, first just a 20 minute practice session with times in the 2:12’s / 2:11’s so was targeting the 2:10’s for the next one.

Next one was a quick practice, 2 lap quali and 7 laps race.. hit my 2:10 target on the 3rd practice lap so revised my target to the 2:09’s and jumped into the quali session where I did a 2:09.734 off the bat, slight mistake on lap 2 meant the first one was the fastest and enough for pole. In the race I got away well and led from start to finish, 3 second lead after lap 1, then spent a few laps experimenting with different lines, etc. which kept three of the AI interested and the gap staying at 3 seconds before I went for it on the last few laps and ended up with a 9 second win and a fastest lap of 2:09.557. New target needed.. 2:08.

Had another session last night with some slight setup tweaking. A few laps practice with 2:10’s and 2:09’s before jumping into the 2 lap quali run and hit my fastest of 2:09.526 for pole again. Race was similar to race 1 in as far as I got away well and lead from flag to flag but initially the top 3 AI hung in there, holding my lead to about 2 seconds for several laps but then I started hitting the 2:09’s and they were gone. Finished the 8 lapper with a 12 second win and a fastest lap of 2:08.426. Target reached.

Robert and I have had a couple of short sessions online with a 7 lapper and three 5 lappers. The first two races against Hard AI and this morning’s double 5 lapper event against Very Hard. Surprisingly the Very Hard didn’t seem much more difficult than the lower level so I’ll be running against them offline for my next session if I get one. Yesterdays races against Hard were pretty comfortable so they should be fine for the race on Saturday, I think yesterday I was in the 2:10’s pretty much throughout.

This morning in the first race once clear of traffic I was in the 2:10’s but that’s where I stayed, a slight suspension tweak didn’t sit well so swapped it back for the next one and in race two was more comfortable with the car and got back into the 2:09’s but not quite able to get down to the 2:08’s.

On average I would say the 2:09/10 is where I am at but with a bit more track time I think that will be 2:08/09. Definitely feel that a 2:07 is there with a bit more practice as well. I have a feeling that online is perhaps a second slower.. the car definitely felt a little less stable online for some reason.

Thats a shame Karl, this track and these cars are a real blast  Unfortunately I am in a similar bind in that I may have to miss it too due to an evening out. Even more of a shame for me as I have got in some decent practice (about 50 laps) and seem to have decent pace as i'm killing even Very Hard AI .

maybe it could be rescheduled for Sunday? I haven't had any practice at all because i knew i wasn't going to be able to make it, but i'd race if it was re-scheduled.
