Why so ugly, it's 2018, it looks like it's 20 years late to the market.
Well...maybe beacouse You (and much more others guys here) dont know what gRally is. So...First ggen pic. for all of You -
I like the more realistic rallying games so good luck to them. I'm one of the few who enjoyed and played DiRT 4 to completion and I like WRC 7 too
Likeing more realistic games and liking Dirt4 and WRC7 - nice oxymoron :D

Licensing fees didn't stop anyone before from releasing a 1:1 replica of a model without badges.

Try again.
Anyone played Gas Guzzlers Extreme?
Remember "Dodge Viper" from there? DOGG DYPER

It is funny how everyone begs for a hardcore af game and when it has even the small chance the appearing the majority goes in to bash graphics. You should really make up your mind.
Do you want sex or a pretty woman, make up your mind.

funny thing but in race sims for me it kinda works vice versa. Pretty graphics = sex, but good package all around, less demanding on video, so you can race at various conditions, and won't risk burning your videocard in the long races = good wife. :p

And there a better looking trailer, it's not that bad actually. Yeah, stages might need some extra artistic work but good potential if they could really put it together and get modders support they are hoping for.

I’m struggling to find a reason how this improves on RBR. In other words, what is the pitch here? Looking forward to hearing one, because none of the responses above satisfied me :(

Well, if it will support easy modding, and installing unlimited cars and tracks by drag n'drop, also if it supports dynamic day cycle and weather, on top of RBR-esque (or better NGP) physics, it's worth looking into personally for me... They have daytime cycle working, i wonder does it affect track grip too? If so, it'll be neat having 20+km stages where you can feel the change in lighting and grip over the stage. Especially if they manage to make dynamic icing on some tracks like Monte Carlo where it can be dry/wet tarmac daytime and fresh ice in the evening... But that's just my personal wish of what i'd improve over RBR, and can not correlate with this title...
I have a lot of doubts in this currently too.

Ilya, without being rude, but you seem to be going out of your way to really counter every piece of criticism towards this game. You're not part of the development team, are you?

nah... I just see potential in everything, sometimes it's bad :D
And I want a good rally platrofm with key features we've been missing, it's what, 15 years of RBR still not having a continuer.
Also we have a lot of rally-related games nowadays that get a day 1 release, a couple of patches, and then being abandoned with team moving on to the next title. I'd really love something iRacing/rF2/AC/AMS/R3E-alike, but with rally. Continuous development and building up the userbase, something that will live on for years... And hopefully with both official DLCs and mods.
As I wrote before, i have a lot of doubts in this title. The stages look bad here, but the only reason they do - is because they're made this way. The technology allows so much more potential, and a good modders can make something really nice out of it.
But well, if it has problems all around, then it's not worth it.

Hope something come's of this, as long as the physics are good which im sure they will be with vr support instant buy for me, dirt4 was a let down after dirt rally, feel like iv been following this for years fingers crossed

so i tried WRC7 again, this time with peugeot wrc, and it felt much better, pretty awesome at times, especially weight transfer aiding turning my car

what i dislike though is AI, i keep getting all sectors green, yet i finish 5th or 6th, sometimes it feels like there is no way AI would lap me seconds faster
but overall, my experience now says its pretty good rallye game

Why dont any of the rally games let us prerun a stage and create our own pacenotes? It seems like it would be relatively simple to program in. You add notes as you drive slow like normal
You can do that with the copilot app for Assetto Corsa, it's called Recce (not the app but the option) . If you have the time, please add the pace notes for the few mountain roads /tarmac tracks available and share them. We will be very happy and thankful.
The app is called copilot something, there's only one at the moment and has Italian and English iirc pace notes (well, a new copilot app was just recently release)

For what it is, WRC7 is a good game despite what many know-it-all's say. Left foot braking and weight shifting work surprisingly well. The diffs work quite well too, not as good as in Dirt Rally though. RBR NGP is still good, although the 2016 edition was better. IMO.

This title doesn't get my heart beating, but I'll buy it for support anyway if it ever gets released. Rally and racing sims are like gym memberships. I buy them all but never drive them.

I mean no disrespect, because I know a thing or two about game development,
but I find it difficult to see this being to successful

and by that I don't mean bad or not realistic
in niche market where you have RBR, and then things like dirt rally or even wrc7 , all with licensed cars

but I could be wrong and this could turn out to be the best really game ever
If the physics and FFB holds up from day one, the modding community will push it to greater heights. Since they play RBR, I have high hopes for this to be a good sim.

By doing what, porting ripped assets from official rally games from, Code Masters and Milestone S.r.l. series to name two, then port rally / point to point tracks from games like Richard Burns Rally, rFactor 1 and Assetto Corsa to gRally?, we know for a fact there will not be any scratch made content, cars or circuits from the community.

there might be some, but not much

Are mods for RBR ripped from assets? Didn't know that.
