Guy's seriously, improve those graphics forget early access i hate to sound horrible and disrespectful but it's got to have more appeal them minimum requirements are for a 15 yo machine, strip it back implement dx 12 make it a simulation that can stand up to the best like AC did, do you know why hardly anyone plays RBR....? Because it's old! and out of date, can you even imagine the reaction if that trailer appeared right before G. O. T started? don't forget for a lot of people they invest in GTX 1080ti's for a reason because they want high standards and want game development to push the boundaries of whats possible, inspiring and groundbreaking are what should come to mind when i think of a new product. I am truly sorry if i cause offence, I only give my opinion as thats what i would expect, i wish you all the luck in the world and hope for your sake I am wrong.

Did you watch the video? These guys are essentially modders, now striking out to make their first title. Rally titles are a niche, this is a rally sim... an even smaller niche. There are some fun rally titles out there but there hasn't been a rally sim since RBR. Graphics look better than RBR but yes, this is not GTSport. Sim fans that are looking for a new authentic rally title with excellent handling have been waiting a long time. If this feels as good as RBR it will sell nicely to sim racers.

The only reason I no longer play RBR is my wheel won't work with it. It is so superior to other rally titles in feel that the old graphics do not bother me too much. Many sim racers into rallying feel the same. This title looks significantly better than RBR although still a bit dated. If this feels as good (a big if but it is possible) and works with my wheel and triple screens... I will be thrilled.

I really appreciate the enthusiasm.
But the driving physics and FFB have to be absolutely superb to overcome the lack of reasonably eye-pleasing graphics.
Even if graphics aren't that important for a driving sim, but at least the graphical presentation should be good enough to get immersed. (And to be honest ... actually i'm not catched yet)

Some of you guys (and girls) are just so entitled, it's ridiculous.
From what I understand this is a weekend project of few people, which are not professionals in gaming industry nor the track modelling. Most of gfx issues I see are because of modelling of environments and it can be vastly improved by better tracks.

Also you shout "it's 2018!" Well, exactly. The gap in quality between mainstream and indie games will only increase. The complexity of game engines and graphics and all the elements nowadays cannot compare with rFactor/RBR times. One man cannot produce ACC level of game, it needs a bigger team, it requires more skills than ever, and more time spent on work, so the money.
Any niche product becomes very unprofitable if hiring a big team. My summer car wouldn't gather any profit, if it looked like Driveclub. With such a budget spent. it wouldn't make sense.

Well, knowing that they are using a "modified" version of RBR, I'm more than happy with what it looks like. But last time I heard from the game, they were using a FIAT 131 Abarth (at least, its 3D modell)... What happened to the Abarth!?

I have only one request, the sounds from the cars have to be 50x better than RBR. Graphics are looking good, mod support is awesome and will boost the gamimg community if everything else around it falls into place, and for sure real good physics as to be priority. I'm full commited to support Grally if the devs have this goals ;)

I Just wholeheartedly disagree, i honestly cannot feel imersed if im looking at whats clearly dated graphics. It's a huge part of the simulation and is there only aspirations to sell to a few sim racers? many of whom will share my sentiments. I love the physics side of simulation more so than the graphics but i will draw a line at this it has no artistic flair no allure, it's just bland to look at. I feel for the team they must have very limited resources but where is the proof that this think can handle? There obviously not convinced by there own sounds at they replaced what we would want to hear with a song, they couldnt drive the car in a convincing way just understeer and going wide as there official trailer wtf. As soneone who is interested in rally i can say i am not excited at all just disappointed. Again i wish the team good luck.

Having said all i've said previously, doesn't mean the game couldn't look much better with using current resources. Look at Derail valley, it's Unity too, and it even has almost none Post-FX, but accurate and reasonable modelling and texturing makes it a looker.

It is funny how everyone begs for a hardcore af game and when it has even the small chance the appearing the majority goes in to bash graphics. You should really make up your mind.
who is every one?
ibtake something fun that looks good and drives ok over hard core sim that looks like it came out 20 years ago any day,
from the hardcore I appreciate more the system of stages rather then just purely physics

Dakar game will probably take my money over this, unless it drives like $$$

If the physics are good then modders can improve the visuals a lot. Assuming they have the shaders and material setup that can look better. And more importantly if the physics are good then it will have a niche following. Considering people still play rbr I'd say there is a market for this. RBR is old and the newer rally games are more simcadey things.

Maybe my wording was an overstatement, but you get the point. People say graphics don't matter but in the end, it is the most looked at aspect of a game.

Well, people can like what they want. I love the audio visual aspect in entertainment from games to movies. But when it comes to sim racing..... handling feel and physics are what immerses me. Some of the most immersive simracing titles have some of the poorest graphics.

If people can't feel immersed in rbr when driving down a narrow rough surfaced Forest track on the very limit of adhesion, despite the old graphics, then a rally simulation probably just isn't for them. Those people already have a large variety of titles to choose from that are very beautiful to look at. For the rest of us, we really want G rally to be the new rbr and if it comes with graphics that look like those in this article or it gets highly improved by excellent modding made tracks it doesn't really matter. As long as the handling is done correctly and there is some decent structure and content, we'll be happy.

well if the underplaying engine is only dx9, you can't really dramatically change it and yes, more detailed cars can help, but it will still look old

look at iRacing, they have really nicely detailed cars and especially tracks( the new ones), but compare that to ACC / pCars2/ Gran turismo sport, and yeah, can't match that not even closely

yes, sim "elitist" game can still be sucessful, but it will never be for the masses - which they are most likely not aiming at anyhow, so yeah, I think they know what they are doing

modders can help, if they make it easy enough for people to make stuff for it
