AMS2 Fake 24 Hours of Spa - Friday May 13, 2022

After a few weeks of fun with the lighter protype we are moving on to the P2 class and race the MetalMoro MRX Duratec P2 but this time in a mixed field with a non-rookie car the GT1. Today we are going to race for a full hour, make a pitstop and experience a full day night cycle on the legendary Spa track in a multiclass race. Lots to learn and enjoy during this rookie friendly event.

EDIT: I'm actually happy in either if you would prefer to bolster the numbers in P2. I'll be going on straight after work so it's not like I'll get to practice in one of them prior anyway and both are a blast to drive

Because a GT1 is basically a GT3 with no ABS and no TC, which is my dream type of racecar.

Regarding the pitstop issues. It is highly recommended to set a pit strategy before the race. Don't leave the tyre setting to recommened, always choose a compound. The issue we had last week, and before @ Daytona in the Grp Cs, was a failure to add fuel, even with a pit stop strategy set. That's the random bug as it stands. I've only had it the once @ Daytona,but others have experienced it a few times. I always make sure the strategy is active before joing the race start, usually just tyres/fuel with damage repairs turned off - otherwise you will be in the pits for a week.

That's not how it works, if everybody reasons that way grids will never fill up.

Yeah no problem. I’ve done zero practice anyway so not wasted any time in the GT1
