AMS2 Fake 24 Hours of Hockenheim - Friday May 20, 2022

After the huge success of the Fake 24 Hours of Spa last week we are continueing this week with the Fake 24 Hours of Hockenheim. A one hour race with GT1 cars with time acceleration of 25x simulates more or less a 24 Hours race with changeable conditions, great sceneries and great camaradery with the other drivers on Discord.

Wether you are new to simracing or a seasoned veteran, this is a race open to all skill levels and we want to race you, so join us by signing yourself up in the comments below.

Practice: 18:30 UTC / 19:30 BST / 20:30 CEST (60 minutes) Join whenever you want during practice
Qualifying: 19:30 UTC / 20:30 BST / 21:30 CEST (10 minutes)
Race: 19:40 UTC / 20:40 BST / 21:40 CEST (60 minutes + mandatory pitstop)

Do you skinpacks work for multiplayer ? I know they didn't in PC2 unless everyone had the skinpack.

I expect the race to be very different tho. I'm still struggling with my old eyes to see with the light levels as they are. It depends on the track but is a problem here at Hock'. So I'll just be joining in to enjoy being on track with you guys and hope I don't get eye strain.

Thanks Mktjf very helpful indeed… now just got to figure out the number of tyres and fuel stops in a fake 24 hours race… all very complicated… how would one assess these please?

I'm now wondering does the time scale apply to fuel usage and tyre wear? I didn't think it did but don't know, I thought they had their own selectors for those values.
Assessing fuel/tyres @MarkModdy means doing a long run like an hour and see how much tyre wear you get and what fuel usage is then calculate that for the whole 24 hours for your pit stop/s.

Strategy for me last time out at Spa with the Mercedes was starting on soft tires with 80 liters in the tank. Made a pitstop around halfway for new tires and 40 liters (Filling 40L takes the same amount of time as changing the tires)
