its was discussed beforehand in the stewards thread about not including the champ guys in the cup standings and I thought it was clear that the champ drivers (who classified as champ drivers at the beginning of the season because they were faster) would not be taking points away from the cup drivers.

I was unaware that Chris made that decision. If that's the case then I would like to change my vote on allowing cup drivers in champ races. If I have to choose between low attendance or possibly having points taken away by a cup driver I choose low attendance...no offense to any cup drivers.

This was Richards race to win was a real shame what happened to him and Karl.
Also to the guys that lost connection it's any wonder why we come back for more sometimes it just so frustrating.
Great opening 22 laps I was running higher wings which suffered on the straights but comfortable in the corners. With rain coming I thought I might have the up hand if I could stay up front, considering I got pole in full wet condition. It was the total opposite stayed out too long on the primes when the rain came, then got tagged by Nick who locked up missing the entrance to the pits (pure accident). It happened to me on the next lap and I reversed back to the pit entrance got a penalty. I'd rather that than another lap on primes in the wet.
So I put on inters only to find out it was full wet conditions now.... disaster! Serve the penalty another lap on inters and finally pit for full wets. Now I was thinking put in some solid laps and I should catch some drivers eventually (I was miles behind).... no! that was not the case what ever the setup did in qually it was terrible in the rain it felt like I was on the wrong tyre the whole time. The only thing that kept me sane was talking to Nick who also suffered like myself.
Come lap 35 and running 8th with no one near me at all I was praying for a disconnect or a power outage I wasn't feeling it any more. I was thinking maybe a SC could change things. I was getting lapped by 1st, 2nd and 3rd place at this stage and I unlapped myself with all of them put finally given in to the blue flags in the end. Except for Mitch which I got a 20sec time penalty which was my fault for thinking I could create a gap but didn't. Nick was too far away at this stage as he gamble for Inters which didn't work.
But from 8th and with out passing anyone, soon my team mate Rob disconnected few laps later Dan then Peter and Richard crashes out near the end and now I'm in 4th with Mark ahead of me who I find out is not counted and finish in 3rd I think, Is that confirmed?
So there you go.... when you think all is lost, and there's is no hope left you can still get a podium. Think about that before you rage quit.
