It shouldn't be a problem what the speed is necessarily because you just need more stability, untill i get fiber optic in my area i'm on 2mb down and 0.6 up which is dire, but it's a stable connection and i've not heard anyone complain to me either on F1 or Rfactor that i've lagged or had a high ping.

I was under the impression that we decided that the champ guys wouldn't be racing for points and I thought that it was agreed on that they wouldn't? But if we're not going to count his results then surely it only makes sense that everyone moves up one? you can't just have points floating about that's not fair to the people who finished below... Especially seeing how close our top 8/9 are.
Fair point. I think the proposal was made solely for the reason champ needed extra drivers not the other way around. Having said that I have no problems with Mark racing in the cup if it is made permanent he can bring his championship points with him to put him in contention and race in the champ as well if he likes. I don't want a driver coming in to the cup any time they feel like an nicking point off us that could prove valuable in our fight for the championship. That's my view on it not sure how the rest of the cup guys feel.
I think the point I'm trying to make is being missed. I'm not advocating one way or the other. I'm stating that whichever way we decided to do it then it should be applied to both leagues. Since Mark's position won't be counted and the people behind move up, then when we have cup guys race in champ races the same should happen. So in the last champ race at germany, Mitch's 4th place shouldn't be counted in the champ standings and Chris Hempsall should move up.

Had a bit of a go around here... this track makes Hungary look like child's play. There just isn't any room to think, to adjust anything, to look at anything other than the next corner. It's all because the corners are way too slow and there are basically no proper straights.

I'm not complaining, I just think this race is going to be very interesting. I've said before how results could be unpredictable but having this track last... I really have no idea what to expect. :D

If anyone is thinking of not practising for this and just turning up, I implore you, at least have a go at entering the pits. First time I tried it, I missed the entry entirely. Second time, I punctured my tyre and lost my front wing! Third time, I got warped back onto the circuit. Fourth time, I went very slowly and still almost caught myself out! It's extremely unforgiving, I'd say on a par with the Monaco hairpin in terms of tightness, if not worse!

This should be a great race though with no DRS, I just hope there are no more disconnects... I'm already +2 over Henri. :(

Well, whaddya know... A 56 point lead after a (WET!!) race, where my biggest achievement was simply NOT crashing out and losing positions because of a HUGE lack of downforce under heavy rain. But I guess being one of the "raindancers" explains it, as well as my finishing position in the OTHER wet race I screwed up - the German GP. I put on inters WAYY too soon and lost loads of time, but I managed to stay on the track and I even ended up 4th (although it would've been harder to do with more people showing up for the races :p).
The three other wet races however...

By the way, the gap is likely to get a bit smaller, because as it stands now I'm going to have a hard time joining you guys on Wednesday. I've just moved to another city and a new desk I got turned out to be so crappy and unstable, that even typing on the keyboard makes it wiggle left and right. I did a test with my steering wheel - in sharp corners the wood around the screws creaks like the whole thing's about to fall apart... :poop: I have to look for a new, stable one. In the meantime I might be able to come up with a temporary solution, but I'm not sure I'll make it in time for this Wednesday evening. Shame
But on the OTHER hand - Eddy said he won't be home for the last race at Jerez, so the gap shouldn't shrink down by a huge amount :D

The racing from the start till the rain came was fantastic, if only it stayed dry and Karl and Richard hadn't been glitched on that would of been one hell of a race with 6 people fighting for the top spots in close contention :inlove:

And same I hit that thing a fair few times... Even hit it once or twice during the actual race and nothing :cautious:

I put the whole stint in my video after the SC:D

I said in the thread it was talked about to not count me in the standings anyway as I didn't want to interfere in the fight you guys have going on ;) But it is slightly different as Peter said, if it's a race here and there then no the points shouldn't be taken away from the full time guys, but if Mark is moving to the Cup full time then obviously he gets the points.

Yeah, Interlagos is a good idea. Also, India could be interesting (as long as Jacob doesn't get in the lead early in the race ;D) and we had a (surprisingly) fun race at Korea. And then there's Suzuka :)
