bumps me i think into the last corner, NP, then that lap or next? he spins behind me coming out of beckets. he then starts to catch me again and i spin in the new section, he and dave pass me and i lose probably 10 secs or so. come in for options with about 9 to go and thx

I did not bumped you :) you where wide in the last corner and I took the inside but I saw you wanted to stay infront and I backed off there and you where infront again, but we had no contact I think.
But you drove very wel, grats and grats to all other people .

Had a first run out in my brand new gleaming Renault last night…. made a slight improvement on my previous evenings best time (in the Red Bull) and hit a 1:18.616 on options (S1 17.430 S2 36.709 S3 24.477) Sector 1 on this lap was one of the slower I had done in the session (best was 17.116) so there's definitely room for improvement there.

Also did my first full fuel run last night and boy does it change things!!! Feels so sluggish and turn 1 is so much more difficult… no way I can get anywhere near flat out there with a full tank!! I was in the 1:24's so a long way from the lower fuel pace!!

On the start are we aiming to be in single file during the formation lap and at what point on the track are we going to start racing. Just want ot get a rough idea in case comms are garbled for me at the start again.

Peter,
I guess we will aim to be in race formation by the last corner to accellerate for start finish line.
Perhaps we need drivers to advise when they are in correct position for their car.
Red Bull/ Maclaren get to front ASAP say 90% Race pace.
Lotus/HRT/Virgin drop back to rear asap (poss use an off track excursion, outside that hairpin would be ideal).
The rest as per tiers.
If we all just have a good idea where we need to be.

Just realized that Hungary is next week. have to try to remember where I left my Go Kart!

I've always had the belief that HRT is the fastest of the 3 poo poo cars but it's probably just all in me 'ed.

Spent an hour or 2 running setups on both HRT and Virgin with 20 laps of fuel, standard throttle and if there is any difference, it's very marginal.

The handling is different i noticed. I feel HRT may have a bit more 'raw' pace but it's very understeery and I cn't find a proper balance.

The Virgin handles very well, I can bang in a perfect lap and still be 239403485 hours off the pace, but you get the good feeling when you drive right to the car's limits; it's much more oversteer based which I like.

My fastest lap with 20 laps fuel standard throttle was

S1: 17.870
S2: 38.402
S3: 24.776
---------------
1.21.048

Will now get some heavy fuel runs in.

Just out of curiosity, does fuel sim effectively start us with 67 laps of fuel and burn it twice as fast or does it start on 33 laps anyone know?

Good question re the fuel sim.
I did think that its what you first said: 100% fuel but burnt at twice the rate.
From watching Mr Stoops videos where he had a heavy car in the early laps of a 20 % race which then got lighter.
and the 100% races Ive done the car isn't any heavier or slower than the 50% races it just gets lighter much slower.
If you don't stay in the Virgin you have to give back the T shirts and the Pit girls phone numbers!

haha, I did a practice 50% race then, i think the logic with fuel burning twice as fast is the right one cause car only felt really heavy for a couple laps.

came out the pits lapped by 4 cars, ended up re-passing them on my fresh options.
Options are able to last up to 11-12 laps providing you manage them well :) in my case 10 laps, lol.

I'll stick with Virgin i've gel'd with the car and ofc the girls would be foolish to turn my back on them!
