It was a good quali for the McLaren team but once we had our little incident in turn 1 in the race we lost all of our pace. Losing alot of time to Karl and losing second place. Good battle for second though, we were within a second of each other for at least 10 laps. I was lucky not to be overtook by a very fast Jono who was catching really fast. He caught up around 13 seconds in 4 laps. Amazing pace.

Seems like everyone had some good battles.

Germany next, i track where it is easy to cut the first turn and easy to spin out on, see you there.

Do you know about Force India pit stop problems on some tracks and want this car anyway? Or you don't know about this? In this case I don't recommend that car.

Thank's for inviting me Bill ... but...oh, how I suck at this track...as those of you who were close to me could see, I had trouble keeping it on track. Everytime I tried to increase my pace I went off on some part of the track. Don't know what you guys use for setup but I have tried several, even one quick setup and they all understear in most corners. After going off track for the 3:d lap in a row I got fed up and ended it in a wall
Don't usually do that in any race but this track dont like me at all, hope I wasn't in anyones way but I don't think so.

Good race. Had a bit of bumper car action with the virgin in qualy, you got me & then next lap I got you lol & soz.

I hope I didnt get in the way when the front runners lapped me (I was in Sauber) but I got major lag when you guys went past.

I tried to video it, but it seems I pressed the wrong button, I forgot I had changed it to "ctrl +numpad multiply" & only pressed the multiply so no video gutted!

Thanks for the race, at this rate I may possibly not come last in my group 4 league race Saturday.

Congratulations to Ermanno, Bill and Stefan for finishing on the podium.

I had a nightmare and have to apologise to everyone who's way i was in, i got a drive through on the first lap and i don't even know why. i was miles behind everyone after that and lost concentration, i only started to speed up after i had been lapped, at least then i could see someone in front of me to chase.

I'm like you Jan, I've tried all different setups for this track and can't find one that doesn't understeer especially through Village corner and The Loop.

I use setup, but I up the top gear by 3 notches otherwise I end up hitting the rev limiter at the end of Hangar straight.

that's ok, i know what it's like to suck at a particular track. malaysia is my love/hate track thx for participating !!

qualy: started on inters and was 4th. then i took a gamble on options and was flying, 2-3 secs faster, ran wide...invalidated lap! come around and miss another flyer by 4 seconds !!! so start 5th

race: mostly on my own but it was still exciting due to the different tyre strategies.
started on primes. finally got a good start, up to 3rd, joempie makes a mistake early in the lap and i go to a clear 2nd. italian is leaving me by 1.25 secs per lap :-( i just HOPE he's on options...but i won't know for 9 or so laps...
i'm getting away slowly from xaxa and joempie, things are looking good i feel good on the primes, very few mistakes.
lap 10 or so?, italian is in! yay!! although i know he will probably beat me still, it just means i wasn't that slow behind him. he comes out about 7-8 secs behind me and he catches me...pretty fast. at about .5-.75secs per lap. he is on fresh options and mine are yellow. he catches me, bumps me i think into the last corner, NP, then that lap or next? he spins behind me coming out of beckets. he then starts to catch me again and i spin in the new section, he and dave pass me and i lose probably 10 secs or so. come in for options with about 9 to go and they feel grippy so i push a little but not to much. joempie and xaxa are about 6 and 10 secs behind. the gap to joempie is yo yoing but then he starts to catch me slowly. i start to sweat and make a few mistakes but not bad. by last lap he is about 3-4 car lengths from me but i hold him and finish 2nd...by .4 of a second :wink:

that was me dean in qualy! i was on a hot lap, not sure about you but i caught you pretty fast and then your car started to lag and jump and twitch and bounce all over the place...one second i was 5 car lengths away then next we were in the same cockpit!! wrecked my laps (twice) but it probably did for you to? lol

Yeah, I was on hot lap too both times & it spoilt them both, the 2nd time I did actually try getting out of your way seeing as you caught me up so quick the 1st time, so sorry. I ended up pitting after the 2nd time & changing my set up slightly & went out & tried again.

My internet got slowed down after a service outage yesterday, I'm waiting for them to turn it back up again.

Thanx for the race guys! Almost perfectly clean.

Got second in qualifying using primes. Start was thru the first section (one car drove thru me?) was okay, but breaking at the end of hangar straight made a break mistake and cars passed me. I got stuck behind Daggy, he went wide quiet often off track and came on track just before my nose. In lap 4 made a small mistake and xaxaDrakoxaxa bumped me so I span and he passed me, and Paul also took advantage of that, so lost 2 positions. 2 Corners later Paul goes wide and I pass him again. Was stuck behind xaxaDrakoxaxa. I knew I was quicker but was afraid to attack him being bumped off again.
He was on primes aswell and I knew I would pass him with the pistops. I guess he continued 1 lap longer and that was an easy overtake. He never came close again.
After the pistop I tried to close the gap to Bill, he didn't crack and we finished .4 seconds apart. Really enjoyed the last stint chasing him.
Will put my vids up later.

Maybe, maybe not don't forget I lost a stack of time on the penultimate lap and other than that would have been well up the road. But it's all good and added a bit of excirtement at the end of the race for us lol

I know that the thing is we got lapped and had that not happened i would've gone past you.

Was on a decent lap in quali on inters but met a car facing the wrong way which killed it. Came out on inters but the track was too dry and I didn't have time to get slicks. Race started ok, had a few tussles near the front till I did my usual thing and started to drop off, not fast or consistant enough to stay with the pack and too far ahead of Deane, Tracy and Dave.

I was bored in no mans land, So I slowed down for some excitement. Had a few scraps with Deane and Tracy. Went past them, then got all indecisive if I could do a second pit. Realised that there were leaders comin through so parked it to allow them through, only to see Deane and Tracy go flying past, then the actual blue flags came so had to pull over for them. They were so far gone I decided I may as well drop back further and have some fun with Dave.

I think when ur not driving at our natural pace, it is so easy to fall off the track, make mistakes etc and that's exactly what I did! So now Dave is barely in view and I'm driving my balls off to save my blushes, but that leads to more errors and my primes are well past their usefulness! I almost get Dave on the final straight after he must have made a mistake. So I was last apart from the DNFs - I think that's a first for me, so almost as special as that elusive win I'm looking for

Your car was a crazy ghost!!! i seen you disappear so i push but you were there, i m sorry. At the first corner i was 10th and in last laps i had got 4 penality for stupid reasons -_-".... so funny race for me 5th in the end.
