Misc F1 2012 Realism mod

Hi Demy,
i've tested 2.5 Beta with career in 100% distance (Japan). For this race all looks good and works fine.
I had some fights with Alonso and Massa and it was horrible:mad:.
By the way...i use it with SC mod and have changed some values in your database (like a post from driveroz 247 in SC thread page 29)
Tomorrow i'll test korea.

Remy it was absolutely Superb. I really need to cover Alonso in the Pit stops in Australia. He was on my tail all the Time.
I did a 2 stopper where as Alonso is a 3 stopper but still he claw back into my lead with Fresh options in the Dying stages. But i managed to hold him up.

Cause Alonso is badass in game.It's like what Vettel was in last year's game.Now Alonso is the badass(my favourite driver ,as well as raikonnen too:D)

Yep, but in my Race came rain in the last 10-15 laps. All cars (me too) changed to intermediates but (and this was realy pretty) Massa changed his tyres to heavy wets, more rain comes and we all must also go on heavy wets and Massa won the race ! He was the only one who has done everything right.:mad:;)
 
Like it after the first race. Only issue I have is I tend to jump ahead first lap then try and defend against faster cars which just nets me penalties now that they wont' back off. Realistic though lol.
 
Kartik, What changes did you make to Vettel in the Database bin to bring him to same level as Alonso - also, what would you recommend to change Hamilton to so that those 3 can be in same class as Alonso.
I think Remy is an Alonso/Ferrari fan as Alonso is a little too far ahead now.

And why is everyone talking about me (Remy) the modders listens to the name Demy :p
Damn dutchmen with their look-a-like names. I've been called Remy a lot though, because most people think Demy is a name for girls. ;)

I'm glad everyone is having a good time with the mod, are there any cons so far?
I'd like to add up that you should be careful with merging the ai_driver_config files, because the SC mod has a damage threshold of 0.85, which isnt supported by my decals file. So if you want to merge get rid of the decals file. Otherwise go with my damagethreshold of 0.7 ;) (Cars will still go around with a wing loss, but retire with flat tire)

i tested the revised performance mod before with a custom ai package i found on another website. loving the new handling coming through perf.-mod. the problem was that the ai strenght of this package isnt that big. think they are tweaked down from stock looking point. so winning on legend in carreer in williams second season.
now i wanted to use perf mod with your ai pack because these ai are fast. no matter what i tried with/out sc mod, with/out brake mod or mechanical error mod. ai always spin out while accelerating out of corner or they are breaking too late.
=>10 minutes q1 16 cars remaining other 8 DNF causing crash.
i dont find the difference in the ai pack which has perf mod intergrated and manually make ai package with it in.
has sb else tested perf mod (1.2) with this ai mod and has just crashing ai's?
i could upload package which has integrated perf mod and probably sb could help finding the difference that it runs without problems

Use my database file wizzard, SC mod will still work properly then.

Weedy I dont understand what you really mean ;)
 
I think Weedy is saying there are too many DNFs with AI crashing out using your mod plus the other suggested mods in the list you gave him.

I find the current AI DNF level excellent. I use all the mods and am up to Japan in my first career season. DNF count is about 5 to 8 per race which I think is spot on.

Weedy, perhaps you have lost track with your mods and may have overwritten mods with mods which is known to cause strange results. Start again with a new clean game then add the mods and you should find things more realistic.

@Demy what are changes in 2.5 over 2.4 other than the changing AI Defend zone from 3 metres to 2 metres.
 
ai_vehicle-config.xml from either mod should be compatible with the SC mod.

Just for the record, I use the Realism mod version 2.4 with the ai_vehicle-config.xml from the SC mod and it works as it should. The only difference will be that if you use the ai_vehicle-config.xml from the SC mod is that cars will not retire if they have broken front wings or punctures, they will pit instead to get them repaired and changed.

I use RM 2.5 but with "ai_vehicle_config.xml" from SC mod....
The game is almost perfect, still missing the "fast forward speed" issue on qualifying.
