Thats the most frustrating and only thing that remains to get this mod perfectly working, says myself lol.
There just won't be a balance between the AI trying to overtake properly and not running into the back of other cars. For example, when you drive out of the pit on Melbourne the AI just drives into the back of you without any hesitation, like you aren't even there. I dont know if this is the fault of the game of the fault of my mod.

Thanks to Kristian Nenov old topic, I made some good progress with this mod. I didnt agree with all his explanations but most of them were really good and came in handy. So a big thanks to him for making the topic for F1 2011!

Demy, do you have a version where the defensive distance is 4 metres? Or can you explain to me where that number is held so I can edit and experiment a bit more on this - as I think it should be a bit more - maybe 3m? by the way - GREAT EFFORT mate - Nice job - works well with the COMPETITIVE BRAKING MOD file.

Hmm might consider that, I'm trying 2meters right now and it kind of works the way I want. The AI goes inside when there is a real danger, and dont lose to much time when there isnt a danger.

No worries Demy, I haven't tried 3 or 4m - you have and if the 2 metres is best compromise - stick with that.

Can you tell me which files to edit, so I can give it a go?

ai_driver_config file, then look for <blMinIntersectionTime float="1.0" />
<blMaxIntersectionTime float="4.0" /> .
Min intersectionTime is the minimal distance to block, and Max is the max distance

Thanks Demy,

The settings I have in that file are;

<blMinIntersectionTime float="0.1" />
<blMaxIntersectionTime float="3.0" />

So is that set to 3 metres already in my file?

Date Modified file is

Is that latest fileset or am I missing your latest update?

2m is an unpublished version. 2.4 contains 3m!

Soon v2.5!

Wow, there is some really impressive racing in there. This video really emphasises exactly how much the game is improved with the mod. None of that fighting would happen with the vanilla game.

Excellent video Demy!!

Demy van Zoggel Do you know what these are meant for mate??
<pqSessionRhythmActive bool="true" />

<raceSessionAdjustmentScalar float="0.97" />

I installed 2.4 the other day, used the 100% version as I'm running career, I noticed the tire wear is very rapid. I'm on Singapore and after pitting and changing to primes I noticed they were burning out already in 2 laps. I'm positive I installed 100% so perhaps there's a glitch in tire wear in it?
