There's no phone app ;) you can download the windows app right here one on racedepartment it's everything you need ;)
Dear Wotever. I have a problem. Sometimes, Simhub seems to know me the arduino one which I have configured for the marches, and in the middle of the game I get disconnected and I can not put the marches. I have already tried to exclude the COM port from the arduino from the config.in
I just need to exclude the port from the arduino (COM 1, COM 2, etc) from the config. in? or should I touch another parameter?
From already thank you very much.-

Here we go :D

1 : rawdata are data given by the api "as is" with no post processing at all from simhub, so the names comes from the api definition as defined in the plugin, the "m" comes from a naming convention of the plugin author it means "member"

2 - the "local" is the property which gives the speed in the unit configured by the user in the settings. But since the data can be used both by user (which actually don't care much of anything else than the speed unit as configured in the settings) or by developpers (using the sdk) , when used for plugins, developers may want to get a specific unit for computations no matter the user choice, that's why the 3 versions are available.

3 - Not yet, but i can add it to the to-do list ;)

Thank you for your quick reply, I'm sorry the same can't be said for me.
So # 1 & 2 will have no effect on me.
# 3 Your seemingly never ending support and advice is the best I, and I'm positive many others, have ever seen.
Thank you.

It looks like an hardware problem, when simhub detects an error with the arduino it reconnects itself within a few seconds maximum, If SimHub can't reconnect it means the arduino got totally disconnected or crashed.
You need to look for bad wiring/connections, avoid usb hubs if you are using some, test another USB port.

Hi Wotever,

spent yesterday some time in reading different forum entries - DC motor noise in combination with motorshield v2

I found some solutions

1) 1 capacitor (330uF) - tried it, noise was reduced but motor does stop, move, stop cycles, does not make sense

2) 3 capacitors (0,1uF) - to be tested ...
https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-motor-shield-v2-for-arduino/faq

3) lower PWM frequency - tried some program entries, but failed, no change in noise, hope on your experience in changing your code

4) change shakeit parameters - increase threshold to avoid continuous noise - works but not really great as the effects come really late

Ciao
Peter

now i tested also 3 caps - but with the 300uF - unfort same effect like described in 1

I think the good balance would be somewhere between 0.1 and 300, 0.1 seems very low, but 300 is too much from the symptoms you are describing.

I found this : http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/AppNotes/00771b.pdf
They talk about something starting from (0.40 µF to 1.0 µF) and the case is really similar. They also states that reducing the pwm frequency is a no go, so I guess my clue about reducing PWM freq was about to fail anyway.

hi, its supported a 7 inch nextion?

Thx

I would avoid it, for the price it's far from being the best deal, 4.3 is correct price-wise, for anything bigger an HDMI screen with dashstudio would be far more effective.
Outside of the price considerations the 7inch is a little underpowered for the simhub purpose and won't be able to push too far quantity of displayed data.

... but it can work :geek: : http://www.racedepartment.com/threads/simhub-diy-sim-racing-dash.121578/page-155#post-2721156

Sim hub, it does not disconnect, what is disconnected is the arduino but when I run the simhub. Actually, I have it connected to a USB Hub. I'll try another pueryo and we'll see what happens.
Thank you for responding and I will keep you updated.

did some 3 cap Tests with

3 x 0,1
3 x 0,2
3 x 0,4
3 x 1,0 uF

in all 4 test i did not recognize any noise reduction .....

Hi Wotever,

my last chance seems to be testing a lower PWM frequency
could you guide me which parameter I need to change to reduce the motorshield pwm

I think I could do the testing on my own - but I am struggling what parameter I need to change

Peter

Hi ! dirt 2 doesn't allow multiple UDP port, you need to use the UDP relay plugin.

- In dirt 2, configure port 20777 :
<motion enabled = "true" ip = "127.0.0.1" port = "20777" delay = "1" extradata = "0" />

- In simhub settings / games : configure 20778

- In x-sim : configure 20779 (I don't own this one so i don't know how it can be configured)

- In UDP relay plugin configure as follow and click apply :

Configured like this dirt 2 will send to 20777 - the relay plugin receives it and send it to 20778 for simhub itself and 20779 for xsim

For the blinking in dirt 2 i've took a look, the game revs damn high comparing to other games : you can change the trigger in the car settings put 95 or higher in redline :

Good again, I can not get xsim-simhub to work at the same time, I attach the images of how I have it configured, I can not do it with any game, I'm trying in f1 2017, in simhub udp relay redirect 20777 to 20778, up there all correct xsim recognizes the telemetry with which it works, but when trying to add the complement of f1 2017 in simhub does not work, it seems that there is a conflict of ports

I see many differences compared to what i've suggested. Could you follow strictly what i've suggested ?

Here's what you should have (you can read back my previous message there were all the required snapshots)
- Game itself configured to send to 20777 (in the game config file)
- UDP relay configured from 20777 to 20778 and 20777 to 20779
- X-sim configured to listen to 20779
- Simhub configured to listen to 20778
(in red are what I've seen wrong in your snapshots, orange is what I can't see using your snapshots, green is ok)

I had tried several combinations, when you say Simhub configured to listen to 20778 you mean this?
