Week 40 - Screenshot Competition

RULES - How To Participate

1. You can use any racing game you want.
2. You can't crop the image, but you can resize it if you want.
3. No Editing is allowed. But the game's enhancements, or game's plugins are allowed.
4. Your screenshots must be suitable to the theme of the week.
5. One entry per member.
6. You must send your screenshots via Pm to Omer Said . Screenshots posted here will be disqualified. We are doing this for fairer poll sessions. People won't know the submitter of the screenshot they vote for.
7. You can vote for your own screenshot, but as a sportmanship it's highly advised you trust yourself and choose someone to vote other than yourself.
8. The screenshots must be yours and must not have been posted elsewhere before.
9. The winner chooses the next week's theme. If he doesn't, 2nd will choose, if he not 3rd and so on...........

Week 23 - Skinning Competition

RULES

1. You can use any game you want which lets modifying liveries (Race Series, rFactor, F1 2010, etc...).
2. RaceDepartment joins to Formula1 and needs a livery!
3. You should choose an F1 car from Formula RR-2009-2010-2011 seasons. (To make it a fair competition)
4. You can add more sponsors other than RD.
5. After you complete your skin, take a screenshot of it and send the image to Omer Said via PM or e-mail. Don't use photoshop to edit or enhance the image!!!!
6. If you show your skin in public you will be disqualified.
7. Ask me if you don't understand clearly or have questions.

Create A Clio Skin Competition (rFactor)

Hi all,

I am entered into the Clio Cup league here http://www.racedepartment.com/clio-euro-series/

As i am useless in anything to do with graphics and do not have the programes needed to make skins i thought i would make a competition for you guys to make me a nice skin for me to use in this race series. There are some things you have to use check here: http://www.racedepartment.com/clio-euro-series/55002-ces-s1-liveries.html so the skin HAS to have these.

Also i wish to have my company logo appear on the car alongside My name of course. The Logo can be found here:

Now i have no issue with the base colour on the car or colours that i will leave to you and let your imagination run wild.
All i ask is that you can supply me with a skin for this league that looks good If you post your entry here for us all to see i will either pick one myself or ask everyone to help me decide which i will use. I am just looking for a good looking car so let your imagination go.

What Do You Win

Well i have looked at various things and decided i would like to put a prize up of any game ( Games) you wish on steam to the value of £30:00

So you could go for Dirt 3, or maybe F1 2010, Or you could go for Race 07 and one or two expansions ie: GTR Evolution + WTCC 2010 expansion, Or maybe you fancy Duke Nukem Forever?
Either way you will be able to choose what you wish up to the value of £30:00 and i will gift them to you.

Im no Steam Lover myself but it i think is the best way for me to give a prize in this case :0)

Thats a fantastic prize to be offering to someone Nick and I commend you for doing so. I have never skinned in rFactor, and have only had a couple of 'noobish' attempts in Race, so its unlikely that I shall have a go at this.

Please don't think I am posting to be negative as my reasons for posting are to save you and others potential headaches further down the line. Two immediate potential problems I see are :

1) The templates for the league are NOT public templates, ie, it appears you have to be in the league to get the templates - its ok someone designing you a great looking Clio Skin, but you need to make sure that skin is done using a League Template - If its not done on a League template then it won't be acceptable for the League. I would hate someone to spend hours and hours only to find you can't use the skin. Of course it may be very easy to convert the Public Template to League or it might not. Ideally the person doing the skin needs access to the League templates - Don't just send this to anyone - you may well be breaking league rules if you do.

2) Make sure your Employer is ok with you using their name and logo. Most companies would be happy to get the advertising, but some organisations can be very protective over their logos and name being used, it may be worth checking that its ok beforehand. Having worked for an idiot or two in the past, I can recall at least one who, if he was in a bad mood, or took not being asked first as disrespectful, would have twisted using a logo and company name without authorisation into grounds for disciplinary proceedings if not gross misconduct.

Like I said, I'm not being negative here, just looking out for you all. Oh and I think what your doing is GREAT !

They are public just a little different from the ones available to the general public.
