Cats off-week ....... Stock car night!!
Hi men,
Given that we're having an off week this week for the Cats pending the completion and creation of files prior to next Mondays test, we have a free night and, thanks to Bob and Nigel for their late night barracking (my defences were weak.....diminished by alcohol lol) you are all cordially invited for a stress-free evening of:
UKSOM rFactor Formula 2 Stock car racing!!
Formula 2 stock cars are raced in the UK and mainland Europe on 1/4 mile short ovals.....contact is not only acceptable, it's pretty mandatory as the race format sees the best drivers start at the back so they work their way through traffic for the points. Races are only 16 laps so the action is fast and furious and, even with such a small track it takes an experienced spectator to catch all of the action as it unfolds.

The mod is an exe which will install two mod links into your game - select the F2 stockcar and then pick a car from the F2 Tarmac list....there's about 60 real cars in there so there should be plenty of choice. A brief explanation of the upgrades available is as follows:
Gearbox - standard Ford, 3-speed x-trac or 3-speed Quaife - ratios are locked to each box and i'd suggest you use manual gearing....once you're running you only need to stay in 1 racing gear
Differential - locked or LSD
Axle lead - this is a function that is used to help the cars turn easier on an anti-clockwise track, so a + axle lead induces oversteer, while a - axle lead induces understeer.
The rest of the upgrades are locked to suit the particular car.

and finally the server IP is 87.117.205.3 (no password)....server is up now set to Northampton and i'll be in there from 7ish.... You're all welcome
