Australia & New Zealand

Okey dokey, I'll get practising then!

BTW - could someone please give me the server password?

Server password and Name are listed here:
http://forum.racedepartment.com/254087-post80.html

The Motorheadz server will be available for practice all weekend, but I think the password is needed only after 6.30PM. Hopefully some of us will be there over the weekend. Tomorrow we'll try to organise a time for some of us to be there for some Team practice.
I assume no password is required before 6.30 PM, so maybe it is open to the public then. Hope we don't get any wreckers then.

Practice server wont be up until Saturday morning as there is a V8 fun Cup on tonight. Anyone that has joined and introduced themselves on there forum can join.
We have had a few members looking into joining RD as well, I believe one already has had a race here. Hopfuly you will get a few extra aussie drivers competeing in the RD league this year :smile-big:

Welcome Cam (we'd better call you Cam No.2 :) ).

I'm happy to add you to the reserve list for this series, and if we are short you may get a start.

BTW, if you want to get racing straight away, have you checked out the Racing Club's, there are lots of events available, including regular Oceania ones for Aussies / Kiwi's each Saturday and Sunday.

For example, this weekend we have:

Jari, you have been signed up for this from the start, and a regular racer with our Oceania group almost every week. You deserve your starting spot.
I'm sure we'll need reserves for most of the rounds anyway, which should give Cam No.2 some starts.

After last weekends paractice i can tell you i was doing
Monza 1:46.4** with more then 100L of fuel.
Nurburgring 8:05.***with 4laps of fuel.
Havent done race fuel load at Spa yet.

There will be another practice session this weekend. Details will be posted by Cam or Warren soon.

From what i have seen AusTeam are probly the team to beat with some very fast drivers so practice will be very important.
I would suggest as much practice at Nurburgring as possible, i wouldnt worry too much about times and concentrate on consistent clean laps, i have gone from 9min lap with plenty of contact to 8:05.***min clean laps in just 3 or 4 long sessions.

Nürburgring has the option of a short OUTLAP. Use the last corner of the GP track on your outlap to start your timed lap. this will only work on your OUTLAP.
please let me know if you get any issues with the server.

I have tried some off-line practice using full fuel over half race distance to sort out pitstop strategies etc. My times were not too flash, but I learned a lot about tyre and brake wear, and what happens to the handling over a one hour plus period.
I'd recomend everyone to do something similar, because for my current setup at Monza, the car became pretty difficult towards the end. My times are well short of Tyson's so I won't embarrass myself by publishing them. Suffice to say, I'll be plodding along down the back but hopefully having some fun.
