I've been racing and rallying in offline competitions for a few years now. As far as online competitions, I'm a newbie.
I use a Thrustmaster F1 wheel and paddles(semi-auto) I had this for quite a few years and it's just starting to show it's age.
Racing, not wrecking is better.

Congratulations to New Zealand - World Cup Champs

This is tough for an Aussie, but it has to be said.

Well done Kiwi's, the new RL World Cup Champions. It has taken a long time but you deserved this win. I actually love to see the underdog get up, and you Kiwi's always seem to make a habit of knocking us off when we are favourites.
Now, just leave the Cricket tests to us, please. :laugh2:

EDIT: We got some revenge in the first cricket test. Phew!!!

I race superkarts at Mallala at Adelaide Superkart Club meetings. Just bought Race 07 / GTR Evo off Steam recently and going to get STCC this week.
First racing game was V8 Supercars 2 when it first came out, then I got 3 then rFactor then Race / GTR. Haven't raced online much, just occasionally but I usually run about mid pack. If it's a track I really like i'm usually ok at it but some tracks I am just hopeless. Look forwards to racing online hopefully!

Andrew, make sure you check out how to apply for membership to the Racing Club here:
http://forum.racedepartment.com/applications/6717-how-sign-up-racing-club.html

You need to change your Forum and in-game username to your real name, and join the Racing Club before you are able to race on-line here.

Welcome to Racedepartment, and look forward to seeing a lot more of you in the forum and on the virtual race track.

GTL Possibilities???

Guys, we have had some discussions over the last few months about introducing other games into our Oceania group, mainly rFactor and GTL.
The most likely thought was to keep Sunday nights for the current Race 07 / EVO series, but maybe throw in some others at different times.

I have organised a GTL revival event for next thursday (Euro time) which is looking very popular:
http://forum.racedepartment.com/188176-post1.html

This event has attracted some requests to hold it again as an Oceania timezone event. I'd love to do that, but only if we have enough support from Oceania members. The best options seem to be to run an identical event on Friday night (say Friday 5th December Oz time, or maybe Sunday morning 7th December.

What do you all think. Want to have a crack at GTL for some fun? If so, when would suit everyone? We'd make this open to Trial and Premium Members, and I would even consider special invites to non member Applicants.
