In all the excitement about the release, they've also confirmed that the Evora GTC will be released? Am I right in thinking we haven't seen this car mentioned before?

Personally, I'd rather have seen the GT2/E version of the car, but I can't imagine Lotus being too keen to license or market that car owing to it's relative anonymity. It is a very pretty car though.

i think it makes perfect sense to release the game in sections to allow two weeks at a time to spot bugs in those sections. its going to be great thank you kunos.

Why the hell nobody releases finished sims anymore? All three nextgen sims turned out to be "pay for beta/alpha".
I hoped that Kunos will do differently, but they dissapointed. Also the communication with them was praised by many (including me), but they "forgot" to tell us how will it look like. All this "soon TM" made me think that we really are close to release, "NOPE, just kidding, it's a beta".

Fortunately Kunos is not ISI. Besides, why are you being so pessimistic? It is not like you or me or anyone is privileged to get what we want. You wait as long as you can and if you cannot do that then you just move on.

Anyway "imminent" release for steam is hopefully before this week ends!

I didn't expect get full game! I expect get pre-order with this"soon TM". What i will get is pre-order with ability of playing 35 cars on 11 tracks.
For me much better news that i expect

Radosławie, keep calm. You're overreacting mate. That's surely not a perfect solution, but they could just sell preorders. Without any access to the early version. I'm interested how would you react to such move. Would it be "cool! great! finally preorders" - now you've got preorder+discount+early access to the game. It's not that bad, isn't it?

It would depend on the date of final product. If it would be 2-3 months from preorder I would be fine with it.
In fact I would prefer that way. Why? Because in normal preorder they would be forced to at least specify the release date.

By doing this the "beta" way, they don't say when will it be released. It's just "hey, give us money, here's your halfproduct, we don't know when we finish v1.0". Almost exactly like ISI did.

Yes I'm genuinely happy with "the twist", if nothing else merely for the fact that they have not been talking about a release the last few months, they have mentioned a pre-order coming. Usually, when you preorder a game, you put money on the table and get nothing in return until the game actually releases, you'll still be asked to pay full price, even overprice because once the game is out several outlets will be agressively pricing it to draw in customers, and in return you are given some shitty ingame perks that generally is of little to no use. With AC preorder, not only do you get to play a pre-release version of the game (with less features) straight away, but you'll even be given a discount on the full price of the game! And as if that was not enough, you are even given some content which was meant to be a paid DLC released AFTER the games release, for free, for the same mere 35 euros....
How you can complain about that is beyond me, maybe your expectations where way out of line with reality. Kunos is a VERY small developer, with some very dedicated people working their butts off to give us the best product they possibly can, and even gargantuan developers with hundreds of people on the team and huge dollars in backing miss their scheduele at times, I don't expect a indie dev like Kunos to deliver on every promise either.

They're not giving a date because they don't know. I'm quite sure that internally they have a target they are working against, but as a lot of unforseen things can happen between now and then that may change this date, they won't make this date public until they're confident that they'll make it. Otherwise they might have to come out with a message of a delay, which would get a even worse reception among gamers than not getting a date in the first place.

Happy for this news but why is this being done through Steam? A beta that is similar to the preview but more cars and tracks. I would think it better handled through their website like the TP.
I politely ask to Kunos let your fans buy this beta from you directly, perhaps as an extension to the TP for non steam users. I have no plans to install Steam and maybe most loud voices say it doesn't matter but this will impact many of your long time and loyal nKPro customers. I don't care for online multiplayer an option for an offline version only. Would gladly pay 35 euros for this.
