Very cheap price and its great to hear its one step closer.
That is why I wrote about the release date of version 1.0... The last thing they said was 2013, there is still plenty of time for that. If the "beta" just means we get early access and v1.0 will be released in the end of december (or maybe a bit later) than there is nothing to be disappointed about. But if the release of v1.0 (with AI, multiplayer) is now scheduled for october 2015 then that is really disappointing of course...
I hate to throw cold water on your optimism, but if the full game was due out in 2013 anyway, there would be no point in releasing a beta at all. Features like multiplayer and AI take time to finish. ISI first planned a 6-month beta for rF2, which after one year changed to a "continuously evolving product" concept, and still today there are many missing features. I am not claiming that AC would follow a similar development, but looking at all recent sims (iRacing, pCars, rFactor2), they are all still technically in beta. This form of development approach seems to be the rule rather than the exception I am afraid.
Question to Kunos, how long do you think it will take you to release 1.0?
Dunno, I'm not convinced we'll even have a pre-order period now. My guess is that we're just heading straight for release. I don't know how that would affect the Spa DLC being made free for pre-orderererererers, but maybe that was the 'something special' that Kunos would give us after the pre-order was torpedoed; Spa for everyone?
It's perfect, thanks for you hard work.Obviously we can't make everybody happy and that is normal.
On the other hand, you pay 35 euros for preordering the final release, and what we wanted to pull out as an expansion pack, is now included in the price... and guess what, you also get the game to play with as we keep on working on it.
If you don't want it like this, you can sit back and relax, waiting for comments from the other people, and decide to jump wagon later when we release AI and Multi and people are happy with that.
I mean, sounds like a win win situation for everybody.
There is roughly 8 weeks from next week until end of the year, so they'll add four large content patches inbetween that time. The way Kunos has worded their Press Release info is that they expect V1.0 to be done before 2014.
rF2 cost me close to twice as much as the 35€ that Assetto Corsa will cost. I think about buying it twice.Sounds exactly like ISI.
Why didn't you at least inform us that you will be going with beta?
Why you teased all this images, and all this "soon TM"?
