In terms of figures it's quite near Italia - 570HP, 330 km/h, 0-60mph in 3.7s, new gearbox, one-77 exhaust... Yes, it will probably be slower (150kg of weight more than Italia) but still it's quite similar class.
And just listen to it on youtube...
Sure, but Astons are more beautiful than track-worthy, chassis is no where near up to par. It would get it's ass handed out by a Corvette Z06 :p

What did he write? I don't have a facebook account so I can't check myself :whistling:

BTW AC vs. iRacing MP4-12C @ Silverstone

The AC version looks far more "alive" than i racing , I don't know if that's more realistic or not though lol , or how much thats down to setup.

From watching real cars I'd say AC is slightly more active than what i would expect but at the same time i racing looks far to inactive to what i would expect.

Mind you there is no way to know how much the visuals match up to the underlying physics anyway , it will be fantastic to get a chance to play this game soon !

AC looks better overall. I do hope that the replay cameras are either improved by K, or if they editable, then we can do it ourselves. GT5 has simply amazing replay camera movement.

I don't see why an app could not be made to control camera movements , It should be possible for people to program camera shake , slides pans , dolly shots. I think it Just depends if kunos makes the camera system accessible to the app system,.

Well, actually more interesting is THAT I think:

Juha Mikkola @Juha_Mikkola

@KunosStefano Is there possibility legally share mods for AC via steam? Or is missing licences of modders going to keep it from happening?
Stefano Casillo
@KunosStefano

@Juha_Mikkola I think it's going to be very hard to share copyrighted material on Steam workshop. We'll try to implement it anyway.

It looks like steam workshop won't work for us... Hopefully Stefano & Co. will find the way to bypass this limitation.

It may be a good idea for someone or kunos to list out the legal requirements for a mod to comply with copyright laws.

People should then be able to produce very similar to real world cars and locations that for all intense purposes are the same, but have slight name differences and maybe a slight difference in the body work and badges.

To me the important thing is how a car drives and maybe sounds I don't really care if its called a pararri , bageeni , botus , flasarati.

Would be nice to think some companies will be willing to see it as what it is (free advertising) and approve of some high-quality mods, esp. of vehicles that aren't available to the general public. It's not like Ferrari loses out sales of F1 cars because people drive them in the game instead, it's just they want to manage their public image.

Well, for me that's the whole idea of modding - that I can drive Aston Martin DB9 despite the fact it's not in the vanilla game. Sorry to say that but I don't want to drive Maston Artin BD19... It just feels wrong and destorys whole immersion for me...
That's the most beautiful thing in modding - bringing in content that developers due to different reasons weren't able to put into the game.

If Steam and Valve are making such problems, than let's don't care about them - I can install mods even in most classic way: "put folder 'corvette c6' into 'cars' folder" and "add line 'corvette c6' to cars.ini file".

If I would have to choose Steam workshop vs. real names/looks of the cars - then I'd choose 2nd one every day, every night.
I've been using mods for 15 years and I think any mod-installing application (because that's what steam workshop is) isn't worth such a sacrifice.
But that's only my humble opinion.

Why does it make any difference if the name is different and the logo is not on the car , when everything else about it is exactly the same as the real car ?

Are you more interested in the brand and marketing or the actual driving of the car ?

From my understanding what you have to change on a car for it to pass copyright is negligible and would have no effect on the cars driving model.

I believe having mod content and content accessible in general through something like steem workshop , is of massive importance for a game like AC ( assuming the base physics and netcode work ) Its literally all AC has from the perspective of the general market over something like Pcars.

I agree 100%. I humbly beg you modders, for whatever my begging may be worth, to make mods of real cars and forego the fake stuff. I don't know why it kills it for me, but it really does, as silly as that may be. I'm glad AC will be on Steam, but I agree; I'll install the good mods the old fashioned way if I must. I don't see why car manufacturers charge money for licenses; as someone mentioned before, it's free advertising. How can they not see that they are disappointing their fanbase by making licenses to their cars cost prohibitive. It's ridiculous!

If I may, I'll provide my answer to that question. When I was a kid, I didn't have a poster of an Aura T5 or Howston Hammer on my wall; I had a Porsche 911 Turbo, or a Chevy Corvette. Admittedly, it is purely mental and emotional, but hey, humans are emotional creatures. Because I will never own one, it is much more satisfying sitting in my sim rig simulating driving what would be the closest rendition of a Lamborghini or Ferarri that I can possibly get. That may not be logical, but it's true, and I will be very appreciative of a modding community that adheres to that principle, even if I may be one of very few that hold that opinion. Even if I know that the physics are the same and the car is cosmetically very similar, it's just not the same. Bottom line; personally, it's just not as satisfying, and I don't think I can change that.

Exactly my idea! It`s nice that they are trying to implement it anyway....but as you said: oldskool way is no problem at all :). Feeling glad that we have something like RaceDepartment (donation on its way :D)
