So is it fair to say that Kunos' entire strategy for AC's release and on into the future rests on what happens today then? If they are denied can they try again further down the line? Getting Greenlit or not seems to be quite an arbitrary system...

Hopefully after today the news will start flowing again one way or another :)

Well I don't think that it changes much for Kunos, they release it when they think it is ready/good enough... If they don't get in today the game will simply stay on greenlight (to vote & comment) and then we can hope to get it accepted in another 6 weeks or so with the next round...

I would be very surprised if it didn't make it for this round only to make it for the next one...

I really hope they get through today, even though it would put them under even more pressure, as I am sure Valve will not accept vaporwares on its platform (except for their own games :D ). Most likely they will have to communicate on a release date once "Greenlit". But this would be a great opportunity for them nevertheless.

AC on Steam is one of the greatest opportunity that simracing ever had. Surely GTRE is already there but it was already 5 years old when they decided to put it on Steam. The Steam store alone represent a great promotion medium, and would most definitely attract many newcomers to this genre, which is awesome.

No Assetto Corsa

When you look at the list, most of the games are pseudo-novelty indies which will probably sell at 10 times what they're worth because of some short term media buzz effect.

Greenlight just does not seem to be a place for AC, for some reason, it looks like Valve just seeks some highly profitable mini games that can make the buzz, to "greenlight" them. I'm not saying they're all bad, most of them are based on good ideas actually, but it's obvious that they have very little chance to be remembered throughout the years. Valve doesn't seem to make their decision on the potential quality of the game they choose to publish, but rather on its likeliness to make a short time buzz upon its release.

I have really low hopes for a selection during any of the next waves to be honest. It's such a shame really, but I think we (and the developers unfortunately) will have to cope without any release on Steam.

NO AC??????????????????????????????????

EDIT: it's a F#CKING DISGRACE! really it is! how to the f... hell can't you put a game with over 160 pages of comments on steam??? while some sh!t-shade-made pseudo-indie games are greenlit with 10 ppl interested in them? I'm really furious about this sh... valve.

gotta admit, I was kinda expecting AC to get greenlit but well there is still 1 or 2 rounds left until AC will be released I would guess so there is still plenty of time... would have been nice though especially seeing that much comments (and most of them positive...)

Out of curiosity, what we as AC clients would loose if one day it does not make it to steam?

Well right now not really much but steam has a huge community and reaches a lot of people who are not hardcore sim racers but would appreciate racing games nonetheless and who don't know about AC... Which ultimately should boost sales quite a bit and means more money for Kunos for more updates/content for everybody.

And in all the other chat, this would seem to signifify that one of the unannounced Ferrari's is the 312T :)

As cool as that is, I'm still desperately hoping that one of the two remaining is the 458GT3 :(

That is a picture from the "Rush" Movie trailer, I wouldn't read to much into that he could simply mean the movie... just saying ;)
