AC ANNOUNCEMENT: New Fat-Alfie championship including Battenbergring

Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
Yeh i know what you are saying, but just drive whst u feel comfortable with. The Ferrari is a tricky car the best of times..2.17 is not a bad time thou..Which shifter did u go for..I,ve upgraded to the Simvertex from a TM TH8A..
Your shifter looks smooth and well-designed. Mine is a Logitech, I'd say it's part of the g29 but it was sold separately. It's quite noisy haha

By the way, I used the car from the original game but I think there is another version by ACLegends. I haven't found the other car in the game, though, but it sounds familiar to me and I'd say I had tried it someday. It must be from ACLegends probably

Damn, i am away from the 16th to the 23rd. I guess i am going to miss the 1st round?
I don't think so. If Battenbergring is available, then I can start setting it up but the first race will certainly be two weeks after I have published the championship to have enough time for everyone to register.

Any news, @HF2000 ? Sorry for the hurries, it's just that I need to schedule other things in September and I'd like not to miss any race. I assume Thursday is the winner day and it's likely that we start in October?
Thanks in advance
Yesterday I asked (again) the development team to install Battenbergring on S.GP. No response yet. I will try again tomorrow.

The day will be Tuesday for the GTO/TVR. That way we will keep three racedays per week which is for most of us maximum what we want to do.
Sunday GT cars (Brian)
Wednesday Abarth/Mazda (Han)
Tuesday in rotation: GTO/TVR (Han) and other various events (Markus)

Thank you for your answer and your effort pushing SimracingGP haha so if we're racing on Tuesday the GTO/TVR, I guess we won't start until October because you said you would give 2 weeks of margin, am I right?

Yes that's correct. I want a two weeks period after the championships are published so everyone has enough time to decide if they want to join.
For the schedule it will be probably Abarth/Mazda on Wednesday first and then the next Tuesday the GTO/TVR.
That way participants in both championships can learn the track first in easy cars.

I've been recently racing around in the alfa gta and ford escort rs1600 (against those and the Lancia HF S1 - on RD and I believe S.GP) at these tracks and it's a very fun combo. Maybe instead of the MX5s and abarths the week before the "fast car races" we could run those. The lancia is even FWD for those that miss the abarths understeer :O_o:

Just a thought Han :)

GOOD NEWS!! @Fat-Alfie 's masterpiece Battenbergring is now available on S.GP! This week I will publish the championships on S.GP. The start will be two weeks later to have enough time for everyone to sign up.

As a warmup I'm organizing next Tuesday a race with the chosen cars on Sebring. Look here: https://www.racedepartment.com/thre...h-200-sebring-tue-27th-september-2022.249464/

It's a great opportunity to get to know the cars and have some learnings for the championship.

I’d be up for it Han, what choice of weapons would we have?
Group C are the
  • Mazda 787B
  • Mercedes Benz C9 1989 LM
  • Porsche 962 C Longtail
  • Porsche 962 C Shorttail
These cars have very different characteristics. The C9 and the Longtail have a very high top speed but are difficult to handle because of the low downforce. The other two are better in turns but get blown away on the straights. So on a track like LeMans it's quite obvious which car you should pick. But as this is a championship you have consider all tracks.

I think I will organize a race on Spa with these cars in a couple of weeks to get data about tyre wear and fuel usage to make sure that that won't be a big problem for one of the cars in the championship. I want a battle on performance, not on tyre or fuel management.
