2024 Formula One Season

Is it actually possible to pick up 3.3lbs worth of marbles?
Sure...those marbles weigh quite a bit.
The miscalculation of the fuel burn is ultimately what did George in.
A lap at SPA is very long so that would not have helped, as he'd still needed a litre for sampling.
Thing is though...they don't let you do a normal cooldown lap...instead turning the cars into the old pitlane.
It was a good gamble to go for the one-stop.
Hindsight is 20/20.
I'm sure if Mercedes knew he was marginal on weight, they'd have told him to reduce fuel burn by following Lewis home using him for DRS to hold of Oscar.

Finally, F1 action is returning this week with the Dutch Grand Prix and it is expected that Max will win his fourth consecutive race at Zandvoort. Do you think anyone can stop him in winning this race?

It is very likely that we won't see an American driver in F1 in the near future after Williams decided to replace Logan Sargeant with Franco Colapinto with immediate effect.

Recently I read an opinion piece by folk who lied to themselves, while laying blame at Williams.
The truth is Sargeant was just not good enough to be in F1.
There may be plenty of good American talent but very limited series to highlight it.
In Europe there is F2, F3, F4, Formula Renault or any other number of categories to showcae drivers.
That is not the same here in the U.S.

The starting grid for the Singapore Grand Prix. Do you expect Max to get back to winning ways tomorrow?

So... VCARB send out Ricciardo at the end of the Singapore GP to take the fastest lap and reduce Lando Norris' points take.
People don't always like team orders between drivers... but this would appear to be Red Bull and VCARB operating as just one team as Ricciardo couldn't remotely benefit from taking fastest lap.
Unless he's now secured his seat until the end of the season?

Did you know that Valtteri Bottas (from the current drivers) has the most wins (10) and most pole positions (21) without the title?

He's pretty high on the all time list too. Stirling Moss, Carlos Reutemann and Ronnie Petterson are up there.

I mean this might be his last F1 season. He was, after all, pretty solid driver.

It's likely that the order/offer came from the top, but you have to remember that in the record books it's another fastest lap for Ricciardo, I remember in the past many teams doing it before the extra point was on offer.

But this was clearly "engineered" to reduce Lando's points advantage over Max at Singapore... every point will count at the end of the season
