2024 Formula One Season

Australia here so we behind I just watching FP3 at 8:00am Sunday
What you think is the first thing they mentioned, gravel traps. lol
Judges said no foul.
I think it was a few races ago, Martin even brought up Max's first WC, I mean get over it.

P.S. That is it I am finished with Sky Sports
3 minutes into the actual Fp3 session and straight back onto Max
Did he pass or was he passed .......Max may DNF and Lando may win ...
Like you rather see a WC won like that ? seriously ? What as payback ? lol

I rather listen to the guys at Super GT any day.
Sky can't survive 5 minutes without a commentator going off script.
See now they on bashing Bottas and the team. 20 laps in the points all year.
Good one very useful

Dubious stewards decisions are peak Fl so I have no problem with the commentators dribbling over the minutia repeatedly until something else interesting happens.

I agree with Piastri's take: they both made error and both ran wide and probably both should have been penalised or neither.

Lando was clearly ahead before the braking zone and he braked first, he had become the defending driver - the steward's opinion that it's one incident and that Lando was still the attacking car for the corner is pretty funny and "convenient"... interesting how many time a grey area situation works in Max's favour - sure he gets penalties when things are too blatant, but for fomula one's sake it seems funny that so many dicey decisions go his way...

Max was behind approaching the corner, he eased off the brake to make the apex first and try to take the position back - this would have been gaining a lasting advantage by leaving the track, if it's not wrong for the literal interpreted rules for my opinion it is wrong for the spirit of the rules.

It looks like Checo's last race will be in Brazil, Red Bull need someone other than Max to score points till the end of the season, unfortunately I can't see anyone stepping up to the plate to do that.
Liam gave Checo a helping hand out of the points in Mexico so I feel he's blotted his copybook a bit there looking at it, there was a fine chance of a good points haul for Perez even after his terrible qually and a 5sec penalty he'd made it back up to 10/11 th place in the first twelve laps and Liam chose to fight him having only moved up to tenth because two cars retired... not the best way to get the job.
However, who else is there? if Red Bull shell out some money they might poach/borrow a reliable driver from another team...

Ocon: Nah, He'll likely have Max off the track and into the wall in the first 5 mins...
Gasley: I can't see that happening they need their points scorer.
Hulkenberg: Hass could do with a few quid, but need the points to stay ahead of RB (visa cash app) again though it could work for Red Bull, he'll get points and him being missing allow RB to play catch up in the championship... interesting one.
Bottas: he's a guy without a drive and would surely be a better pair of hands than Checo, and it doesn't seem that Sauber are interested in this season anyway, and it gives a chance to put himself in a window as it were.
KMag: Perhaps less reliable than Hulkenberg, but similar to Bottas he out of a drive at the end of the season
Tsunoda: He's in the family and would welcome the chance, perhaps a straight swap till the end of the season,
they'd have to tell him that it's only points they want, and he's not there to beat Max, so don't try!

Interesting options, but are they really going to bother replacing him?
It just seem unnecessary at this stage as they have almost no hope of winning the constructors titles and almost no chance of Max getting beaten.

Probably not, I've recently read that there's a balance between what Checo's sponsors bring and what they could loose if they remain 3rd in the championship, Horner knows and will do what he feels is best, and Checo still feels very confident about 2025, so it just shows I know jackshit.

The word on Social media is Fanco is in the Red Bull seat next to Max. Hes a good driver for a rookie and as long as he dose not beat Max he will be OK.

I don't do any social Media platforms for just such a reason, for there you will be told that Elvis simply changed his name and moved to Cricklewood, and that it's been proved that not only do Aliens live on the underside of our very flat world, but they are actually interfering with Canadian local Elections :coffee:

Max Verstappen wins the Brazilian Grand Prix after starting P17. That was truly a great performance by him.

You know what this is? This is Verstappen's Fangio at the 57 German Grand Prix moment.

haha

"The race was also notable for being Fangio's 24th and last victory in F1"

So Max get bad luck for the rest of the season and then retires, or gets stuck in a winless car from here on?

Edit: It was a great drive, but I think there's a little extra hype going on for this one.

It's a certainty that the British Red top 'Trash press' will big someone up so they can destroy them later....
We all say things on the spur of the moment that might be out of order but the press has a long time to think about what they're doing between coming from the mouth to getting printed, and really it's not needed.

Lando had a go at a WDC, and I'm sure he'll get another with what he's learnt from this year, Max has been round the block a good few times, and when he entered F1 the British 'trash press' hated him from the start, he's tough.
Lando has got to learn from Max there, coming in as the 'darling child' he did just didn't do him any favours.
