You're done. :)

You can proceed the same way for my other mods you found on step 4.
BASE MOD INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS (WINDOWS)
  1. Download PART1 and PART2 on your computer. Both parts are necessary.
  2. Right-click MM 2016 Mod 1.x.x.part1.rar and uncompress it.
  3. Part 2 will be uncompressed automatically. You should now have a folder MM_Data with the installer right next to it.
  4. Launch the installer and follow instructions.
If the installer does not work for you, simply copy/paste the MM_Data folder into your Motorsport Manager folder.
BASE MOD INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS (MAC) - Thanks to Mr Peugeot and Alon2o
    • Download PART1 and PART2. Both parts are necessary.
    • Create a folder anywhere and put both mod files in this new folder
    • Open Part_1 of the .rar file with an extractor (I use The Unarchiver but I’m assuming any upzip program will work)
    • Don’t worry about Part_2. The extractor will have included that without you seeing it.
    • You will get a folder called MM_Data.
    • Open finder
    • Command + Shift + G
    • Library / Application Support
    • Click on go
    • Steam
    • /Steamapp
    • /Common
    • /Motorsport Manager
    • Right click
    • View the contents of the package
    • Home
    • Resources
    • Data
    • Replace the resource.assets file with the one in the MM_Data you obtain in step 5.
    • Open StreamingAssets folder
    • (Download and in data)
    • Then replace only the Champ1.bk2 files
    • Champ2.bk2
    • Champ3.bk2
    • And replace the TeamIntroMovies folder

FAQ:
- After I installed the mod, the drivers, teams and staff are fake and all logos are original ones.
You didn't activate the mod "layer" on the Workshop. Please do so as stated above.
- My game crashes during or after launch / I get a black screen then nothing.
Make sure you run the last version of the game on steam.
Go to Steam then right click on Motorsport Manager>Properties>Local Files>Verify integrity of game cache. This will synchronize your game to server version which is always the last version available.

- I don't see the car liveries. Rest is working fine.
Liveries do not work in 2d Mode. Turn on 3d mode.
- How can I change logos/team names/... myself?
Download Unity Assets Bundle Extractor and open resources.assets with it. Extract textures or textassets with the "plugin" button on the left. Modify things and import file back using the same "plugin" button.
Logos are in logos1@1080. Practice and Quali Times are in simulationsettings.

it shows, when you start new season. Just before the first time you get your teams menu. In my case it was second season, but i´m almost done with it...so i will soon tell you if happens also in 3rd season. As said...no big deal, logo just appears and then game switches to season´s menu, but in game everything is OK.

One thing about a 2017 update, won't it hurt those who have saves with the 2016 files? Because when the game automatically upddates through patches, the mod has to be reinstalled so surely when it comes out, any 2017 update would overwrite those wanting to continue with their 2016 file. Quite curious about this.

Enzoli, do you fear that the Steam Workshop in February could undo a lot of your fine work? There will quite possibly be things that aren't editable with the Workshop alone though. Oh and outstanding job on that Mercedes logo video by the way!

Saves are not altered by data changes. So any 2017 mod would need a new career and old career would still have 2016 data.

I don't think the workshop will allow as many changes as the resources.assets modding do tbh. Even if the devs wanted to, it wouldn't be possible to allow editing everything. I think they will limit it to drivers, staff and team names and logos. Maybe abilites and looks.
On the other hand, workshop hopefully will allow modification of a modded resources.assets. That means every one will be able to adapt my mod or someone else's one as they like.

is there anyone but me, who would like that workshop also gives chance to create new tracks... like maybee original ones? That would give even more perspective to the game....because, when you learn all tracks setups, it´s just to simple to setup the car.

Yes, you can call that a dream. As it has no chance at all to happen. Each one of these tracks took days to design by few designers. All the textures and 3 objects... It's really harder than it looks. Then all the game mechanics is based on the track shape. So you'd have a better chance at creating a new game from scratch I'm afraid...

Hello everybody,
I'm currently playing Motorsport Manager on a Mac and I would like to download this mod (by the way, thanks enzoli who has made it). My question is: where do I found the file resources.assets in my Mac? Is it in the Finder? If yes, in which folder do I have to go?

uh....then we can only hope if developers will add some more fictional tracks... :whistling:

but ...let me guess. They don´t want to implenent all those things or new seasons, because they will probably release MM2017,MM2018...etc. ...and will hope that we buy every new version. Something like F1 franchise from Codemasters.

i don´t think it will be so drastic, and will update the game via steam, but maybee in few years will come MM2...
for us...we only need how to move start of first season...and with Enzoli mod will be great for quite some time :)

Word. You'd prefer a 2017 grid. I would prefer a 2016 grid. I'm not interested in a fantasy mod. enzoli's 2016 mod is superb. I don't want him to start guessing drivers and making up drivers.

+1

As long as the season hasn't started there is not much point in releasing a 2017 mod. Ofc people could work on it until then, but I wouldn't rush it.
