This mod is composed of a Base and a Layer. You need both in order to have the full mod.

LAYER MOD INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS (STEAM) - Thanks to @Paxon

1. Go to the MM Community Hub in your steam client.

2. Go to the workshop.

3. Search the workshop for "enzoli".

4. Find the "Layer" mod and click it.

6. Make sure the mod is active in your in-game workshop.

You can proceed the same way for my other mods you found on step 4.
BASE MOD INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS (WINDOWS)
  1. Download PART1 and PART2 on your computer. Both parts are necessary.
  2. Right-click MM 2016 Mod 1.x.x.part1.rar and uncompress it.
  3. Part 2 will be uncompressed automatically. You should now have a folder MM_Data with the installer right next to it.
  4. Launch the installer and follow instructions.
If the installer does not work for you, simply copy/paste the MM_Data folder into your Motorsport Manager folder.
BASE MOD INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS (MAC) - Thanks to Mr Peugeot and Alon2o
    • Download PART1 and PART2. Both parts are necessary.
    • Create a folder anywhere and put both mod files in this new folder
    • Open Part_1 of the .rar file with an extractor (I use The Unarchiver but I’m assuming any upzip program will work)
    • Don’t worry about Part_2. The extractor will have included that without you seeing it.
    • You will get a folder called MM_Data.
    • Open finder
    • Command + Shift + G
    • Library / Application Support
    • Click on go
    • Steam
    • /Steamapp
    • /Common
    • /Motorsport Manager
    • Right click
    • View the contents of the package
    • Home
    • Resources
    • Data
    • Replace the resource.assets file with the one in the MM_Data you obtain in step 5.
    • Open StreamingAssets folder
    • (Download and in data)
    • Then replace only the Champ1.bk2 files
    • Champ2.bk2
    • Champ3.bk2
    • And replace the TeamIntroMovies folder

FAQ:
- After I installed the mod, the drivers, teams and staff are fake and all logos are original ones.
You didn't activate the mod "layer" on the Workshop. Please do so as stated above.
- My game crashes during or after launch / I get a black screen then nothing.
Make sure you run the last version of the game on steam.
Go to Steam then right click on Motorsport Manager>Properties>Local Files>Verify integrity of game cache. This will synchronize your game to server version which is always the last version available.

- I don't see the car liveries. Rest is working fine.
Liveries do not work in 2d Mode. Turn on 3d mode.
- How can I change logos/team names/... myself?
Download Unity Assets Bundle Extractor and open resources.assets with it. Extract textures or textassets with the "plugin" button on the left. Modify things and import file back using the same "plugin" button.
Logos are in logos1@1080. Practice and Quali Times are in simulationsettings.

I had the same update last night from Steam, and replacing the resource.assets with the latest Mac mod again works fine for me.

I see that with original assets of the game and my old save with assets modded in the ranking after race the driver's name and factory's name are real but in the images with the top three drivers there is the factory symbol fake with real drivers name...
I add that competition name are fake again...:(:(:(

most are below 3 star though, only Ericsson and Nasr are 3.5 star, and both are racing in F1 series.
i just want to add something, Rio Haryanto from Manor is supposed to be a pay driver as well.

also i want to ask one more thing, i believe from the vanilla version the base stat modifier from engine when making the next season chassis doesnt affect anything or does it? i thought the benefit from more expensive engines are better 4 chassis stats (fuel, tyre, improvability). so when i was building the next year chassis i was quite surprised to see the cheapest engine, Toyota in this case, gives almost the same stat as the expensive one, which is Mercedes.
 
Hi everyone, Can someone help me with Mac installation?
I've extracted both the files and now have resources.assets and resources 2.assets.. how do I combine those files to put into MMdata? Thanks guys!

Edit: I used the other Mac download from the external site and installed it, but my game loads up to a black screen? Help :(

I got mine to work on a Windows PC with the latest beta update. The update is actually only 18mbs, but the game checks all your files and re-downloads the modified files to restore it back to original, to avoid downloading about 400mbs for the update here's what I did:

Before launching the game make sure to you have the original AssemblyCsharp and Assets files backed up somewhere, if not then Steam will download and replace the assets and assembly files which is around 400mb.

-Copy the original backup assets and assembly files back to their respective location within the MM_Data folder.
-Update the game but don't start the game yet.
-Make a backup copy of the original AssemblyCsharp and Assets files again and save it in a backup folder.
-Copy the f1 mod files into the game folder and start the game. You should be able to see the f1 mod with the new update take effect. Tested this on current save games and it works.

I agree. Also, Gutierrez and Stroll should be too.
 
Enzoli, could you make a 2017 mod using your current 2016 mod as a base? I kinda master MM text editing, I could give it a try but I'd need some good sources where I could get information about contract lengths and wages.
 
Do more real drivers appear when you upgrade scouting facilities? Curious about that and how that works when it comes to a mod with real drivers.

Also, if no to the first question, I wonder why Adam Carroll wasn't included? I know A1GP wasn't one of the most prestigious series but he did win it and was in talks with the "new" teams about entering F1 in 2010. As an Irish person, I haven't seen a single Irish driver in the game, original or modded which is a bit of a shame.
 
But, seriousely. Season 2016 is over and feels kinda strange to watch Rosberg/Hamilton again in cars, knowing that Nico is allready out of the sport. Different thing is Massa... who maybee will be on grid. Then....next problem which is quite bizzare is signings of Button,Massa and some established guys to some GP2 teams - in season 2. There must be a way, that retired guys ... stay retired. ;) ....and also... Wehrlein,Ocon are now established F1 names. No need to start in GP2? :)

You're right. There are no Irish drivers. And there are some "hidden" drivers that appears when you upgrade your scouting facilities.
I focused on young drivers having the more chance of getting in F1 in the future.
Although I'm not against adding a Irish driver if you point me to one you'de think really deserve to be in this mod.

Lot of request for a 2017 season but I don't really like the idea of a mod without being sure of line-ups yet. When it gets clearer we'll see.:thumbsup:
 
Well changing drivers around is an easy job. It takes few seconds. The hard job was choosing them and finding information on all these drivers that are not always well documented.

Again, I'm waiting on seeing the final line-ups. Be it in a month it wouldn't take long to create the correct line-ups based on the existing mod.
What will take longer is designing the new liveries. That would come later on.
 
Hmm i don't know whether this has been discovered or not but for my version, seems that Frank Williams is leading Force India while Vijay Mallya is leading Williams. Is that an error or team principles just move around?
 
there are still some errors, becuse it´s not yet finished.... and polished ;) ...but, it´s by far the best we have! I´m more bothered with some other things, which i don´t think it´s repairable with mod, but with devs..... First thing is....weather. I noticed that it repeats to much and should be more random than this. Same goes for tyre wear, which comes the same every time on same track. I also think tyre wear should be more complicated so also temperature of track and sky could influence. Next thing is....pace car. I noticed that...if they come...they come only once per race. What about multiple safety car sessions in race....sometimes? Like in real F1. There´s also safety car after first turn collision, which i never saw so far.... as well as multiple car collisions which putts few cars out? Ok.....just another two cents :rolleyes:
