Webber instead of complaining, could fight back, there's still many laps until the end of race.

The problem is that he doesn't have the skills for it and he want to win the race at lap 44, when the race was 56.
How do you know he didn't want to fight back? He did his best to block Vettel; however, Vettel went past and was quickly 2-3 seconds ahead. Assuming that you know F1, 2-3 seconds is a huge gap for competitive cars. It took Hamilton 10 laps to get from 4 seconds to .8 of a second from Vettel, and still he could not get close enough to past. So by the time Webber's tyres had warmed up, Vettel was too far away to be catched.

Webber's middle finger, his angry comments at the end of the race, and his obvious body motion of dissatisfaction. Do you still think he didn't want to fight back?

In my opinion, Webber outsmarted Vettel in this race. If it had not been Webber's thoughtfulness, they would've both been in the barriers for fighting each other. He understood the risks and understood the importance of bringing in points for the teams, so he held back. Otherwise, if he pushed on, this race would end up like Turkey 2010.

So don't make uneducated and completely unproven statements such as "he doesn't have the skills for it". Webber may not have been competitive in his early F1 career, but with the number of victories hes won with Red Bull, he has certainly proven himself to be closely matched with Vettel. And don't forget the number of times Webber helped Vettel remove points off of other Championship rivals.

Lets not forget, they were told to conserve the car, Red Bull have been losing their **** for the past week about how the tyres are giving them trouble. Clearly frustrated when Vettel overtook him I think Webber did what he did for a reason. Everyone saw what Seb did and Mark can look the bigger man from this. In the end Webber knew better to risk pushing the car after what had just happened.

This should be about racing, not about wining it with Team orders, I don´t get up early to see a cars parade, like Mercedes did.
Well get used to it, because its been happening for years and Webber has followed the rules given to him on many occasions. Just like many other drivers in other teams. Maybe you should stop watching because you obviously don't realise how much team orders dominates the sport.

I don't know why it is so hard to get, that F1 is a team sport. The team is above everything else. The team pays them, the team give them the cars so it is their duty to do what the team said because it is their JOB! If a driver does not do his job, why should the team and provide him a good car. Maybe the driver should start to get out of the car and change his own tires because the mechanics rather stay in the cooler garage.

Just finished watching the Malaysian Gp as I recorded it. Wow! Controversy. Vettel ignores team orders and gets told it's silly, Webber backs off to keep the team getting maximum points. Vettel complaining that Webber is too slow mid-race. Rosberg told to back off and let Hamilton keep 3rd even though Hamilton was conserving fuel. Alonso broken wing on lap 1. Maldonado crashing out again. Force India having wheel-nut problems. Interesting and highly controversial race.

I've said it a couple of years ago before I joined this forum and I'll say it again - Webber needs to move to a team which will allow him to win more races, a team where the owner backs him instead of ridicules him. If he can't he needs to leave the sport.

Wouldn't it be interesting to see Vettel and Hamilton in the same team, and Rosberg and Webber in the same team, and just let all 4 drivers race each other without team orders.

Christian Horner in 2010:

"No, we let our drivers race," he said. "Massa's still in this championship, or maybe he's signed a contract that says he's a number two driver, but I think that it's wrong for the sport. The drivers should've been allowed to race. Massa did the better job. He was in the lead."

That's why I say he doesn't have the skills to do it. He looses 9/10 direct fights with Vettel and I'm not a Vettel fan, far from it.

Vettel had more than 12 laps to pass Webber but he couldn t do it, untill he turned his engine down...

Perhaps Webber is inferior to Vettel most of the time, but in this race he simply dominated. As pointed out, Vettel couldn't pass Vettel until he turned his engine down. And the reason Webber could not fend off Vettel was because he had cold tyres.

I think I found me a friend :p ahahahha

it would be Webber against Dr Helmut more than like , that dude reminds me of Fabio, they both treated their favorite like a son.
well said :)

TBH if it was Webber he would of had a bollocking in the press conference room.

If I was Webber, I'd of just taken Vettel out and myself... Therefore teaching the team he needs a lesson :p
