Oh man, that was an intense race! Great job to Vettel, but man, I'm disappointed Alonso didn't win. Lets hope for next year - I want someone to take that crown from Vettel! Alonso, Webber or Perez preferably ;)

Fantastic race to end a great season! Woke up earlier than I usually do on Sundays to watch the race live. It's only once a year that an F1 season ends, so losing some sleep to see the race live was worth it.

There were various points in the race that Alonso was the provisional champion, but, of course, Vettel had another great drive to barely scrape enough points to win.

The race itself was really exciting, probably the most exciting i've seen at all. (I didn't get to see the 2008 finale, but from the looks of it, it was pretty amazing) The championship was on the line and the track kept changing conditions, you can't write this type of drama.

I see a lot of people lack a sense of sportsmanship, I personally don't consider Vettel among my favorite drivers but I have to give it to him that he beat Alonso fair and square through the points and thus deserves to be champion. I commend him on a well-fought season and congratulate him on winning his third F1 title.

Sad to see Speed lose it's F1 coverage, I got a little teary when they passed that final segment with little snippets of their coverage through the years. If it wasn't for their coverage I probably would've never gotten so into F1 as I am now. I know a lot of people gave them crap for broadcasting the races from a studio in the US, but I thought they did a damn good job. Varsha was always on top of things, Steve Matchett is a genius and can break down every part of an F1 car, and David Hobbs is just being himself(with Varsha there to correct him when he says something wrong). Seeing Sam Posey say his final few lines to end it all finally made some tears that I was holding back come out. I've been watching Speed's coverage since my early teens and realizing that I will never hear that intro tune again before an F1 race definitely saddened the kid in me.

I literally cheered when I saw vettel spin, sitting in my house all alone at 3 in the morning.

Imagine my disappointment. Apparently newey has been testing with destruction derbies. You can kick that bull, but it certainly seems you can't keep it down.

I don't think I used offensive language by using one word. I actually said it would be a shame if that is true. I actually pity those people. Case closed for me, it's clear we can't freely talk about some things in this free world (like we like to call it). You can take your goat to the restaurant but you can't use one word. (this is just an extreme but true example). No more comments from me.

Wow, 2012 and we still have donkeys like this. Don't bother to answer me, you're on my ignore list from now on.

Kimi Raikkonen (10th):

"It was a busy race and we didn't have the pace we wanted all the time. There was certainly a lot going on. I went off at the last corner on lap fifty-two as I couldn't see well with my visor being dirty and fogged up. Where I went off you can get back on the track by going through the support race pit lane, but you have to go through a gate. I know this as I did the same thing in 2001 and the gate was open that year. Somebody closed it this time. Next year I'll make sure it's open again.

Have to also mention Vettel´s luck...
He cuts in on Senna, gets hit by him and gets hit by Perez and some other car a couple of times, car is damaged but miraculously the car is fully driv-able.

Hamilton gets a small kiss from Hulkenberg and it´s terminal damage and out of the race.
Vettel has to be the luckiest person in the whole world when it comes to things like that.
Light tap? Hulkenberg's car ended up at a 40degree angle after that knock with Hamilton's front suspension.

Although Vettel really was quite lucky, plenty of important things going on around that sidepod area, cooling systems plus the exhaust and of course now you've got a gaping hole thats causing aero issues.

Great race. Yes, it had everything, but the final safety car laps ruined it....

Well done Vettel on the 3rd Championship, thought you were out after Senna bumped you.
Unlucky Alonso, you did everything you needed too. Shame a few DNF's changed the final result.
Hamilton - good final race, shame about the DNF.
Jenson - Won the first and final race. Well done lad!

2013 should be interesting - someone doing a count down??

Has to be one of the most moving shots of Alonso I've ever seen. He looks haunted.
