It is a test race. Maybe it is to test how the standing start works with this huge number of cars?

formation lap is normal for this race type!
I think that a standing start will causes some crashes

I don't think you've never been able to win any prices(or races) since the dawn of racing by going full out on a standing start, even less so during a test event. Hence saying that it will cause crashes implies more a problem on your side than the rest of us.
And remember, the manual formation lap that is accustomed to these events uses a standing start.

We've been given clear info on the event and they've even fixed the 'pit-issue' so I see no point in questioning the facts of this test event. My only gripe I can see is that the times have been changed, luckily I have the whole Saturday off but for some it could be a bit of a squeeze.

Well Joakim, you will need at least a map. One thing I've never experienced before is having a co-driver on a racetrack.
Still I seem to recall Roy acting as a co-driver last test race. Shouting out "4 left, over crest, 3 right, flat, 5 left" etc.
