If your struggling with the thick lock up smoke when in traffic, go into the track files (GameData\Locations\Ring_2007\On-Lauf8) and delete a tga called 'SMOKEWHITE' . Hopefully it doesn't get re-added when a sync is needed but if we are trying to cut down on graphical files that's needed then maybe this can be removed from the sync?

no need simon...just go into rfacto...click customise...settings....display....and turn off special effects!!

I like to see some smoke as it can warn you of incidents about to happen before the yellow flag appears but that file i said makes it too thick when your close to someone and they lock up a lot.

Did we get a counted lap when we only drive the gp circuit and entered the pit?
And will that be on the main event the same?

When you pit it will count 2 circuits around the GP layout plus 1 of the nordschleife as a lap

Why make the pit entry so complicated?

If you use the yellow marked area to enter the pits ppl wont get confused by doing an extra gp lap. Also you will have to check every single pit stop( using the blue entry) after the race because teams can gain a lot of time by not doing the extra gp lap. I think the yellow pit entry is way less complicated compared to the blue and you can still use the blue one in case something happpens as an emergency pit entry. Furthermore using the yellow pit entry you wont have to worry about laps not counting ( because of lag or whatever) which is more likely using the blue entry. Just because the blue entry looks more like a real entry doesnt make it the better choice in my opinion.

In another 24h event(Sim-racing.org) on the same track they were using the yellow entry without any complications.

That pit entry is wrong, you pit at the end of the old circuit, do your stop, leave the pits and do not then complete a full lap of the GP, turn left onto the old track just before the end of the GP track.

By using the GP pit entry you risk getting a penalty and will loose so much time.

You guys confuse me... In the real 24hrs, everyone pits straight in, no lap around the short layout, unless you experience a problem on the short layout with the car in which case the crossing won't count.

Can you explain it again?
