Whell, both satisfyied and pissed!!!

Qualify
It started out in qualify and i got a poor poor time compared to my pre-qual time, 2.04.3xx it was..

But the others did not do to whell in qualify also, so it was a P6 in Qualify end..

Race 1
The race started out pretty good i took a couple of places and was p4...

and i kinda keept it there, and then in the lap 6-7 i think J wilson came up to me and i let him pass more or less, because in race one my setup was to soft, very little but enough to make it melt rubber if i battled out, så i decided to keep it stable in the whole racem whick it would not have been if i had to battle with j wilson also..

So i let him pass without the biggest battle in the world ;)

Then i stayed there for the rest of the race and P5 it was...

Top5 was within 4.5 secs in the end...

Race 2
Started out P4 i belive, took 2 cars in the start..
was very obviously faster than P1 and made small skin-attacks on him to see how he was reacting..
The P3 car and the rest was not close so i could concentrate on the P1 hunt..

lap 2-3 i think i got P1, and he got back... But i could see i was much faster and i would eventually overtake and could make a gap...

And then when i was about to overtake again:
My pc for the first time in my Race 07 history, in the middle of the race went LOST CONNECTION!!!

So, there it was, i lost the overall win and first place in race 2...

Offcourse a race is not over untill its over, but i was very stabile and had good speed and setup for race 2!!! sooooo..................

Sucks big time, it could have been very nice :)

Better luck next time . . .

Thansk, even for the stolen victory :p hehehe ;)

I'm a bit confused right now :p Probably posting a report tomorrow :) Some good racing, but also some pretty bad :/ Finished 14th (I think, not sure) in race 1 and ninth in race 2 anyway

I've just finished the race, will cool off before posting my race report.

I'd just want to send a :sign0013: to Steve Emmons. I thought I gave you room in the last corner on the second to last lap, but as you lagged it was very difficult to keep "track" of you - you jumped all over the place...

I hope you understand.
:sign0152:
Kind regards,
Karl

race 1, bad start and I didn't drive to good but it ended alright and was fun.

race 2, got spun and was way behind everyone and really never caught up. I drove horribly 2nd race and didn't even deserve the place that I got. :(
Congrats to the podium guys and all else that did well. See you next race.

Good racing tonight...
1st race was funny, I spent the first few corners evading spinning cars all around me. Don't know what happened there. Was fighting with Clive Siggs almost the whole race. Bit of touching and nudging but in my opinion nothing unfair. Finished 8th (I lack some serious topspeed up/down the hill before last chicane :bike:)
2nd race on pole..oh boy.. could defend myself for 2-3 laps I think, but people were knocking on my door (read : rearwing) :) A bit too much of nudging and touching lol. People saying sorry, but couldn't reply a "NP" due to my sweaty hands trying to keep my car on the tarmac.. haha Lost a lot of places there. In the end I had a nice battle with a BMW (I think it was Andy MacMartin) only to know soon or later he'd eventually prevail due to my lack of speed :thumb:

Enjoyed it guys. Cheers !

I was pretty impressed with the driving personally, which is a little suprising because usually when you get a crapload of aliens together it turns pretty dirty, but up front it was tight but clean most of the time.
In qualifying I was really disapointed in myself. I easily had a top 5 lap in me but I couldn't pull it off when it really mattered. Thats becoming something of a habit for me....
Race 1 went much better than expected though, I managed to erase my poor qualifying by getting a MEGA start and got to 8th before even doing any work!!! Managed to fight my way through to 6th and spent a few laps chasing Ludwig, and we had a wonderful scrap for about 4 laps. As the rest of the pack caught us I decided I had to get serious as I was either going to get into 5th or sink into the pack, so I made a strong move into the final complex and managed to make it stick, and immediatley pulled away as the rest of them battled over 6th. From there I tried to hold my frazzled nerves and was able to keep 5th. Maybe could have challenged for a podium had I got passed Ludwig earlier but that battle was worth it ;)
Race 2 started similarly to race 1, from 4th on the grid I was 2nd out of turn one, then took the lead in the second complex. I knew if I could just get a break I'd have a shot as I didn't feel anyone other than the Redline boys had the pace to chase me down, and I was hoping they'd get caught in traffic. And thats exactley what happened, I drove a near perfect race and won from Greger by nearly 8 seconds! Fantastic!

So in summary, my results:
PreQual: 12th
Qual: 12th
Race 1: 5th
Race 2: 1st

I really enjoyed both races for very different reasons... and those results should put me in the top 3 in the championship, which is MILES better that I was expecting, so I couldn't be happier. I just hope it continues at Valencia. Cya there!!!

Quali P 12 i think it was.

Race 1
I took a couple off places at the start but in the first corner it went wrong and there was big accident between a few cars and i was in it :(
Afther that it was a very good and clean race and i ended P12.

Race2
I had a good start and afther the second corner i was on P7 .There where a few good battles and it was fun :) But afther 6 rounds my tires where almost gone and then it's hard to handle the Seat so i made a few stupid mistakes and ended on P8.

I had a fun and interesting race night.See you guys all in Valencia :)

Didn't expect too much from the first race, but in a way I was pleasantly surprised. General quality of racing was very high, it can be expected since it is group 1 after all.

Qually:
Had fun watching Gregger run away with it, who could have guessed that one :p, I did me best with a 2:02.6xx on the last lap second before the session was finished. If I'm honest my nerves got the best of me when I looked at my split time midway through the lap and I scuffed about 3-4 tenths easy on the second last chicane. Regardless it was good enough for a 3rd place start.

Race 1:
Started very badly bogged the car even with 7.5k rpm launch which kinda caught me off guard, Dom didnt have the greatest start either I almost had him turn 1 but he cut across quite close might I add but a good move nonetheless. Then my nerves again got the best of me, I pushed way to hard against Dom and shot my tires by lap 5 at which time Atti decided it was time for some pressure cooker pressure. I held him back until lap 8 where a mistake due to lack of grip gave way to a pass by Atti, Finished 4th. Overall very happy with the first race.

Race 2:
This is where all the drama is, as is the case with every race in WTCC. Had a decent start slotted in behind Kevin and followed him and the leading pack for a few laps. About lap 3 or 4 I knick Kevin's rear bumper and he did very well to catch it, foolishly I slowed down way too much to let him have his place back and gave up a couple of spots which also put me in a very bad position for the next laps as tons of cars were on top of me. There was lots going on around me and after a few more laps more mistakes followed again due to lack of grip (I believe the patch is to blame for this, the BMW doesnt seem the same, or my setup or my driving :p). End up 13. Fighting for position the last few laps I see a bizarre incident involving Dom and a Seat which gives me the opportunity to gain a few places. On the last lap Robert unfortunately clips my bumper coming out of the hairpin before the quad apex left and and that point saving it was impossible with the absence of any grip whatsoever. Finished 23rd.

Overall the first outing was very nice, learned a lot from the experience. I see people are very cutthroat in league situations except for a handful against who it is a pleasure to race against. Maybe I will have to adjust, can't wait for Valencia.

I am very disappointed, because I was waiting very much this League. But some guys need to learn about fair driving. This was not a competition, its wreck derby. In race1, last corner, i lost 4 places, from 7 to 11. TY for that Kevin. And thanks to Ludwig Ghidi for unfair blockings. He plays that many times. and and and... I wont practise a lot of hours to get knoced out in the race. I do not miss this, so i exit from tournament.
