On the iOpener website there is a very interesting article about an upcoming World Rally Championship simulator:

World Rally Championship's next game: Racing live against rally heroes

The next generation WRC computer game will allow players to 'compete' in live rallies", states ISC chairman Neil Duncanson in the April version of SportBusiness International magazine. ISC, the global promoter of the World Rally Championship (WRC), mentions WRC's ultimate goal as building up an online gaming world championship alongside the real thing.
ISC and the computer gaming industry believe the next step in gaming is this 'live' competition between gamers and real drivers, made possible through iOpener's patented technology.
ISC CEO Simon Long says: "Now we are a global promoter, we want this to be multi-platform, multi-publisher, multi-territory."
For Long and Duncanson the new game is part of WRC's broader efforts to appeal new fans beyond the hardcore enthusiastics. FIA's chairman Max Mosley has said the virtual champion will be honoured at the WRC's annual end-of-season awards ceremony in Monaco.

Last April we already brought you the first news about iOpener Media's beta testers recruitment for their Real Time Racing project.

The news about this technology where virtual racers can compete against the real drivers on the track in real time is now spreading amoung the simracing communities.

iOpener is still looking for the worlds best simracers to join their beta test program that's about to start soon. If you are interested in joining then you can sign up on the RTR website

well what i found was before i put this on everything was fine loaded in seconds now its take a bit longer and iv taken it out to !!

and im looking at them screen shots and well TBH i rely cant see much difference ok the GFX in game are good anyway

and lets all be honest RBR is a far better game at the end of the day  and dont say WELL GO PLAY IT THEN

Well....:D
The difference its obvious, way more realistic colours, depends on tv used also. I played on a 50 inch plasma in 1080p but even on my older lcd monitor i can see the difference in the screens above. Also its crazy that you dont see the greenish filter lays on the original game ingame Gfx.

And again its NOT up to my MOD itself cause i know enough without that loading times problems. It was mentioned before also that it depends on your system and nowadays racinggames just run better on Nvidia INtel combos, thats it.;)

RBR is better in physics and nothing more, the graphics this year are way better on wrc then last year for sure. Not perfect and covered with a filter but better fore sure.

And to everyone else please try to just start the game and not enable and disable the effect all the time, that will end up wit Fps drops and slows down the game imense! Also ingame AA is set to 2 not 4!;)

loading times are still slow and i now have fps drop on single stage, GTX580 asus

apart from that it looks amaizing mate, good work ;),

With a 580 it should even better then here, wich cpu??
And please try to not enable/disable the effect while ingame, it auto ON with the game start.
Dont disable it and just have a race and look again if you feel fps drops. If again please tell if its a special stage where you can see those drops.

Thx

Modmate

no problem friend, will have a play about with it now. i have a feeling battlefield 3s FXAA injector is conflicting with it as it does the HDR on RSRBR.

the tracks i tried it on were sweet lamb and spain stage 5 on version 1.0 all seemed ok until i tried a full rally in france, loading time increased dramatically, then the FPS dropped throughout the stage until it was almost unplayable by the finish line

then, sweet lamb and spain 5 again on version 1.1, both single stage, both massive loading times and then big FPS drop :( hahahaha

ill have a play about with it now,

steve

Looking good!!!!! Thanks Modmate!!

But I must be an idiot, what you mean by Pause button? I can only assign one Pause button in control settings (g25 wheel), this to freeze the game, it does not work on your mod!
So, I still don't get it, could you explain using other "words"

Thanks, and sorry!

right, deleted bf3 FXAA and tried everything again

still the same, same stages, same long loading times, laggy FPS throughout, however, if you pause and restart the stage, it seems alot less laggy on FPS. its a weird 1, like i said, ive seen this on a machine that didnt have your mod installed so i think its a bug in the game with the AA or some other graphics settings.

CPU is i5 760,

steve

Sad to hear that but if you see that on a pc without my mod that could be a game gfx problem for sure. They pretty sure patch it soon cause youre not the only one with that problems. In my case it really doesnt affect the loading times, well, if i enable/diable the effect while loading it does but otherwise its fine.

yes friend, the slow loading of the game can be cured by choosing 'windowed mode', but FPS hit and slow stage loading times still remain, the other machine did not suffer from slow loading stages or fps drop. i think the mod is triggering a bug within the game,

Like most hardcore rally fans, I would love to have 15 km + stages like real life, but this is still a mass market game, and I don't think average joe would be patient enough to drive for that long on his xbox controller. To be honest, I don't why average joe would by a WRC game, because I doubt the mass gaming market are aware that WRC still exists as a sport.

Does anyone know how may input devices are supported? Just want to know if there is a limit. I have wheel, pedals, shifter and handbreak (4). Plus an SLI if support for the game ever comes around.

Thanks

Nicely done Tom!
Was in a rush with other mods and wanted todo a cam mod also but with those fantastic cams there is no omre need for it.!;)

Greets Modmate
Thanks for your comment, modmate.
You are working on many mods for various titles and I know you can edit these camera positions and make it better too.
So, I appreciate your kind consideration to me.
Thanks again :)

Hello, modmate.
Many thanks for the development and sharing this Mod.
I'm really impressed with the total changes of the graphics, and especially the saturation level is very well balanced and it makes the WRC 3 graphics look more natural and realistic.
Please keep up this great work and I'm looking forward to the further updates :) !

hi Mike, only 1 peripheral is supported at the moment, I have to unplug the CSP and plug it in directly to the wheel, however my button box is mapped with Xpadder so it will recognized it as keyboard.
my frex shift+ and Frex HB+ are plugged in to the PS/2 port of the GT3RS, so WRC3 thinks it's one single controller.
