Just noticed that it's Rfactor, not GTR... nevermind!

Have a great race, guys!

Server controlled rolling:if the field is nicely under control and spaced well this would be good. if the game is selecting the wrong gear you can easily downshift 1 gear and get going easily....it would be a matter of knowing what MPH you are travelling and which gear is best for that speed.

Yep, I think that is all that is required, and it would be the same for everyone anyway. That is why I think it is worth a couple of test events using this start method.

Manual Rolling: could you assign a set speed and acceleration point for the pole sitter? IS there a pit speed limiter that could be used on the track for this? simply assign a value and release the button when you get to the "acceleration point?"

The pitspeed limiter might work, but I doubt it is really needed. Simple clear instructions to the pole sitter to keep the speed sensible, all drivers keeping tight to the car in front, and a bit of simple fair play from everyone, and it works like a charm. Again though, It is mainly suited to the enduro races where the starts need to be clean, and gaining a spot or two with a blistering standing start is less important than ensuring no turn 1 or 2 pile-ups.

Welcome aboard John and OZ. Dont let these guys lie to you
I live in last place right behind Bob L. Its fun back there though.
We talk, smell the roses, trade paint, all kinds of Killer B stuff.
Oh and avoid the guys with the pink cars they are bad news. :)

Man, I installed this mod last night and mid-ohio, and I'm even more bummed I have to miss it. The feel of these cars was awesome, and I have to say the track looked much more impressive than the GTR Evo version. The colors and textures seem to be crisper (at least on this particular track). Hope we get a re-do on this soon!

like it have been announced some threads will be closed and this one is the first, you are invited to do the same thing on the main GTR-Evo forum in the skins section. in that section you'll find useful information about skinning and you can also ask for help and show your work and even get request cause other members like your work.

Smell the roses? what kind of brake pads and race fuel we using in this series anyhow? Sunoco aroma therapy 110? Pagid "plain vanilla" race pads?

assitance required

I'm trying to join a league in Race07 / GTR evo, particualy the F3000 if I can.
I've noticed a racedepartment server running in Race07 and want to get in on the action.
Currently I'm part of the Presto league through No Grip.
I'm in Australia but the time difference should'nt be a big prob... any assistance would be appreciated thanks...

Hey Cam,

I am officially in charge of the league. You should find all the details here--> http://forum.racedepartment.com/americas-f3000-grand-prix-championship/. We have started last week, but after you read everything and are still interested PM me.

Banger or CARTS

I am think about scheduling a rFactor event on Sunday the 15th after the F3k league. It is going to be either:
- Banger at various short tracks --> linky
- CARTS at an Oval --> linky

Neither should require a lot of preparation and both are really fun. I tried the oval action with Bob this week and it was a total blast:) I would love to do it again soon.

Opinions??

Hey guys,

Yves and I would like to give away a rFactor license to a NA community member. If you are interested reply in this thread. In return, the selected member will be expected to participate in our rFactor Sundays event (held every other Sunday on league weekends) and be an active member of the community (participates in US races).

Once you get your license you can download the game from here: --> linky
