Technology Preview - Time Attack - Top 30 Leaderboard

So... to kill some time i decided to make a Top 30 board for all RD members.
To get your time official you need to make a post and post a screenshot/video of the time.

Car - Lotus Elise SC
Track - Magione

edit: nevermind, people will never learn.

That's great...seems everybody on here is way faster after the update and I'm the only one half a second slower...FML

The new version made no difference for me. I just went a lot faster after discovering that running higher pressures allowed me to go faster. Try running 30 psi at the front and 31 at the rear. I'm not really sure why I should be faster since lower pressures = more grip but I think it might have to do with the same methodology behind stiffening suspension.

I'm skating around everywhere with those pressures Tariq. Oh well, I think it's time to turn off the lap counter and just have fun driving and making laps again. Good thing for me is once the game comes out is that the three friends that I will race with the most are all within a couple tenths of each other.

Having problem to improve lap time, not sure how to make the car turn faster and drift like most fast guys do.
Below is a video of my driving in the first 4 turns. Thanks for the advise, if any. Good day.

You are also going on and off the throttle in the first two corners.

Only touch the throttle if you know you can keep it down.
Only increase throttle, never decrease.

T3 you can enter much quicker as well, and to early turn-in for T4.
Exit of T4 was a bit of a disaster but that´s easily fixed.

Mean brake at the same point but turn earlier ?? Usually this result in huge oversteer and lose control in my case. The car either understeer most of the time or too oversteer when cornering that really kill me, my cheap saloon car actually much easier to drive than this.

Yea pretty much.

What you did was go hard on the brake then turn in.
Instead be smoother coming of the brake and turn at the same time.

The reason you might feel the car might oversteer is because you have either too much weight on the front tires (rear end starts wandering) or it´s because you are at the maximum threshold of lateral and longitudinal grip.

In your case you are probably using too much brake there. If you brake at the same spot but roll of the brake smoother you can use some of that energy to turn the car in earlier.
You will still be able to stop the car at the right time (for T4) but you will have a higher entry speed into the corner (T3)

Just a random example,

You = 100% brake, then 80% brake, 20% turn-in.

Try = 100% brake, then 60% brake, 40% turn-in.

The percentage doesn´t really mean anything but just try and let go of maximum pressure sooner and use the remaining grip from the tires to turn the car in earlier.

omg I hope I am better with other cars at other tracks... driving the tp almost every day... but I just can't go faster... high 1.23s (1.23.571 my pb) are my very best laps... my usual laps are low 1.24s ... there is just no way to go faster (for me)... I am at a point where the elise just starts to skip around... I can't find the grip needed to go faster... time for high perfomance cars at fast tracks :D I hope the release is soon... (but I expect something about end of may (end of spring) or so,... but I hope ofcourse spring is meaning early spring lol :D )
