Technology Preview - Time Attack - Top 30 Leaderboard

So... to kill some time i decided to make a Top 30 board for all RD members.
To get your time official you need to make a post and post a screenshot/video of the time.

Car - Lotus Elise SC
Track - Magione

edit: nevermind, people will never learn.

I have yet to do a low 1:25 let alone hit 1:24's or 22's like some of you damn aliens!
First week driving stick though, and i refuse to post a time where ive used flippers myself. Must practice harder! But im starting to have some doubts that ill be able to match these times and get back on that board tbh. Lots of really fast ppl here ..

Aristotelis from AC answerd my question why we get our best times in the first three laps and why we can not hold the pace after that.:

" In the first 3 laps you tear off the "new" surface of the tyres and do the first heat cycle. It's the perfect situation. Depending on how you drive in the out laps the perfect moment will be at the 1st, 2nd or 3rd timed lap... but it is around there.

After that, the wear make laptimes slightly slower, without though affecting drivability."

Do you mind to make a screen shot of your wheel profile setting ?? Also may be i play arcade or semi-sim most of the time so my PB only 1:26. Also i wonder if you guys actually modifier the game XML / Conf file setting to make the car easier to drive.

Many thanks.
I´ve disconnected my wheel but i use these settings.
Overall: 51%
Constant: 82%
Periodic: 60%
Spring: 0%
Damper: 8%

In game gain: 65%
filter: 0%

And 900 degrees obviously.

lol no we don´t cheat if that´s what you are asking. No point in making a car easier to drive when it´s already dead easy to drive.

May be its because am a beginner sim racer as i found the car very hard to do corner, its so different with F1 2011, so its dead hard to drive for me.

Many thanks for the setting even though its not for DFGT i believe.

How tight is this :)

At the same time it makes the gap to 1st look quite daunting for us in this little group lol...I believe I could do a .3 or even .2 with a really nice lap where everything falls into place but I have no idea where to find the rest of the time. Must be a few better lines that I'm not able to figure out.

@ Cedric, no changes at all, maybe it's a different driving style.

Same here, .2 or .3 definitely feels quite realistic but then it starts to get depressing :)

Great video Jan.

I have a question: did you make some setup changes specially regarding suspensions?
On your video, the car behaviour looks stiffer (the car isn't "floating" in curves or when you are drinving on curbs).
In lot of videos, the car is too soft in my opininon
Not in your video, I like it.

Cedric

I think the difference that makes it look like that is the 'lock view to horizon' option, which can be unticked in options. I definitely like it like that too.

I seem to hit a wall in the 23.2 to 23.6 area...
Can you guys imagine if we were able to run a race how close it would be, especially if it was 15 or 20 laps and tires had to be taken care of. Guess that day will be soon enough.

I have been running my hotlaps at 13:30 in game time....I switched it to 18:00 to see how pretty everything looked and was running a full second slower, just because shadows that I didn't even realize I was using as braking markers had moved!! Wondering if that's the case for you fast guys too or if it is one more reminder that I have pretty much no natural talent.
