so everytime i download sol it just downloads a pdf file how do i get past this

I update Sol and Pure, to work with the new CM version, which is also free, but has a systems bug.

Actually the problem with CSP and CM is, there is a bug in CM, which leads to a missing feature.
So if you have the newest version of CM (0.8.2561) but using the public CSP 0.1.79, the weather controller selection is missing, and so it is recommended to downgrade to the former version (0.8.2467...).

AND there is another bug in CM (0.8.2561). It causes a loss of an important Lua system function. Which is essential to write files. Both Sol 2.2.9 and Pure 0.180a fixing that problem, if they are used.

So there is no paywall or anything. Its just that CM did an auto-update (this can be switched of in CM) and looses an important function if the public CSP is used.


So you only have this trouble actually, if you are using Sol in combination with the newest CM and the public CSP. You don't miss much if you downgrade to the former CM version.

Thanks problem solved for the weather controller selection is missing,but got another problem is ingame saying sol 2.2 controller not running.

Did you install Sol 2.2.9 manually?

For all people who can't find the weather controller in weatherFX settings. Please read this pdf:

You probably need to revert to a former version of Content Manager. Or if you have the latest CM with the latest CSP, the weather controller selection was moved. Then this pdf will show you where you find it ....

If you mean, "Why is there only a pdf, if i download the mod?" Then maybe just open it. Its the install guide and actually on the first page are the links to Sol 2.2.9. And please read the install guide!

and when I download Sol on Mediafire I get the notepad version of it...

Just read the manual!!! You need 7zip app to open a 7z file. All is described in the manual!

Ok, I did what it says but when I try to open it with 7zip this error message comes up
I also added a picture how the file looks inside the explorer as a help

Please have a look in the install guide, azlt the page about 7zip. You need to open the 7z with the 7z file manager. Do it like it is described there.

It's called a pdf file! You will find all instructions you need to install Sol. You just have to read it!!!!

What did you extract? Where did you extract it? Do you have a "Sol" folder in /assettocorsa/extension/weather/?

Currently there is a bug in the newest Content Manager. Please read this paper:

It depends which CSP version you are running.
If you need to revert to an older CM version. Just download the right version and replace your current ContentManager.exe with the one you downloaded.

Peter, I admire your patience when dealing with "RTFM" people. Not an easy task!

I think I'll wait until the dust with latest CM and CSP settles down a bit before updating any of them.
